"I had a set spot at 2pm on 10/14/23 that I drove 2.5 hours to get to just to see a note on the office door stating “Staff Meeting 1-3:30PM and nobody was answering the phones which is the same on Monday, October 16th. Someone should’ve had the courtesy to call me to reschedule."

"I moved my father in his complex and was his POA. After he passed the money due was put on my credit report. I have tried calling, emailing and even traveling hours to come to the location and still no contact back. I tied talking to the company one that put it on my credit and still no response. This isn’t okay. My father was a veteran. Who suffered with to amputations and 2 stokes also Covid. This is unprofessional and unethical. Today I called corporate and talked with Judy Shrum Adminstrative Assistant 4:25 she stated there wasn’t anyway to get the information of Janet Philips & Griffey Johnson to try to resolve these issues. She stated she would send all above a group email stating the issue. I expressed how much distress this has caused me and not to mention the reliving of my father’s death. I feel putting these guidelines that they have insect causes people to be on accountable for the actions. And now this is costing me money and also reflection on my character of not paying my bills.Ethically this is Wong and this company isn’t for the people but for themselves. This is the beginning communication leisure but a battle that’s well worth it."

"I toured the Lofts today with Tara and she was so informative. I appreciated that she took the time to ask if there was anything in the apartment that I did not see and would like to have in the unit. She was able to answer every question that I needed an answer for. Hopefully I will become a future resident at The Lofts."

"Update 6/2020 Decided not to renew daughters lease. Tara is the greatest leasing staff. She will work with you to resolve any issues just be patient. The only reason the leasing wasn't renewed is because my daughter no longer wanted to live in Durham after graduating. On 9/1/2019 My daughter renewed her lease. The loft is roughly 8 minutes from NCCU which is the school my daughter attends. As stated in my previous post the area isn't that great but the townhomes and apartments are nice. They are one of the better looking ones in the area. You have a gated parking lot which is a plus and also, a security system thay came with the townhome. My daughter had to activate it and pay a monthly fee, well worth it. I am grateful to Tara for working with me because I am a out of state parent. Any issues that I have she promptly response back. May God bless her. 9/13/2019 Tara is an very nice individual. I had the opportunity to me her in August so I decided to repost. Like I mentioned before be patient which I know can be a very difficult thing to do when you are paying your rent money monthly. They have a lot of units to manage so things can take time. My rule of thumb is allow 72 hours for a call back then do a follow up if you haven't hard back. Hopefully by the third day your issue has been address."

"UPDATE: I NEVER RECEIVED A REFUND OF MY SECURITY DEPOSIT. I left my apartment in April of 2016 and it is now August and I still have NOT receive my security deposit. Management blames it on INSUFFICIENT FUNDS in their account. My lawyer sent a letter to Southside Revitalization Phase I LP By its registered agent, CT Corporation System and we NEVER EVEN GOT A RESPONSE. They don't seem to care about their residents at all, if they did they would not mishandle funds and return to people their hard earned money. Plus side:The apartments are large and energy efficient. The rooms are very spacious. Rent is low and is very close proximity to downtown and transportation. Downside: THEY NEVER RETURNED MY SECURITY DEPOSIT!!! Extremely noisy neighborhood, sirens all times of the night. The train is so loud I can barely hear my TV when comes through. The neighborhood lacks quality grocery stores. Management is extremely ineffective. Constantly posting letters in everyone doors instead of addressing the individuals responsible. They do not accept packages for tenants, do not offer extended office hours, close for extended periods during the holidays and on the weekend hardly ever show up to the office on time. With Lofts at Southside you pretty much get exactly what you pay for, I would suggest doing your homework before renting here."
