"Last night our car got stolen at DPAC (from a paid deck that had working attendants), and come to find out it was a resident who lives here. The police found our car in the parking lot of this apartment complex this morning fortunately, so make sure you lock your cars (though ours was locked), remove all valuables, etc… This person was able to break into our car and technologically disable car features so that they could steal the car and drive it without a key whatsoever."

"I love this place! The rent is the cheapest in all of Durham (apartment wise), a beautiful neighborhood with quiet, serene neighbors! We have laundry on site, a pool, and a tennis court. I never feel unsafe here as a young woman, and the office staff is always friendly and amazing."

"Really great apartments to live in within the Durham location. Office and maintenance staff are really friendly. They're quick to respond and handle whatever needs handling. No breed restrictions. Friendly community. Serene neighborhood. Convenient to other locations. All around just a really nice place to be. I genuinely love it here! The only things I'm concerned about: 1). Apartments can be drafty and sometimes when the a/c comes on it tends to smell a bit moldy/old. They're older apartments and I understand that, but I'm sure there's some fixing that can be done. 2). When I first started renting here approximately three years ago, my rent was around $795 for a two bedroom, two full bathroom. Now I'm paying $895 (literally a $100 increase which I've had to pay by myself), but with nothing to show for it. No new appliances, no carpet cleaning or paint touch ups, no nothing. Just rent going up, and up, and up, and with no explanation as to why. What's worse is that the increases even continued during COVID-19, when many individuals were out of work or working less hours. So it felt like they had no consideration for tenants whatsoever in that aspect. Don't get me wrong, for what's happening in Durham, these apartments are a pretty decent find, but why does the rent keep going up so much, especially when there are no upgrades and city development isn't really happening in this area? Soon I will probably not be able to afford to stay here any more, and that really saddens me."

"Strawberry Hill was my first apartment on my own, the ladies in the office were ALWAYS friendly, kind and understanding. The maintenance guys were always fast with repairs and friendly. I had a great experience here and I recommend them to anyone who asks!"
