"We have lived here for a total of 3 years and are overall very satisfied with our experience. Maintenance is awesome about responding to our requests quickly, and the staff are very friendly. They have great amenities and host fun events on a monthly bases (eg free pizza, trivia)."

"CAR OWNERS BEWARE. You will get booted and fined $160 For ANY and all minor mistakes. Accidentally forgot to park in a visitor spot last night? You will wake up to a boot on your car and a $160 fine. Your registration expired a few weeks ago? BOOT, and $160 fine. That’s right, they can and WILL boot you and make you pay $160 for 1 month expired registration on your car. God forbid you cant afford a car repair in order to comply with an inspection to get your tags fixed! They will also TOW your vehicle if you “fail” to move it in a timely manner. I have personally seen multiple cars booted and towed almost every other week here. They take themselves too seriously here. You will lose your hard earned money if you make even the smallest mistake here. Outside of the tyrannical parking “enforcement” here, front desk is very nice, gym and pool is very nice, maintenance is quick and they are very nice. The complex itself is well maintained and the 2 bed 1 bath “open” layout is a bit small but decent for the price point. It is a nice complex, and if you heed my warning you should have an excellent experience here."

"Lived there for 3 years, NEVER paid rent late, never had any problems. Then there started to be complaints of weed smelling in our building, which we had smelled often but didn’t bother complaining about it, but someone did. They sent out notices that it wasn’t allowed, didn’t apply to us because we don’t smoke weed. Fast forward to a couple months before it’s time to renew our lease, we get a notice that they are exercising their right not to renew our lease, they don’t have to provide a reason and didn’t. When we specifically asked for a reason we were told the same thing, they were exercising their right. However, I’m pretty sure we were being blamed for the weed smell, because we were the youngest couple in the building, so ya know, it must be us. Writing this a few months after we have left and I hope the weed smell is still an issue so they know they didn’t get rid of the problem by not allowing us to stay there. This mostly REALLY sucked considering I gave birth in April and we had to be out near the end of July. Just wanted people to know that they can and absolutely will just choose to not renew your lease without giving you a reason. The apartment we were in was a 2bd 1bath and we were paying $1200 a month for an outdated apartment, that needed appliances and floors/carpets majorly replaced. The carpet honestly should’ve been replaced before we moved in, it was disgusting the first time I vacuumed it and a small area filled my canister in minutes, they claimed it wa a professionally cleaned, and if that’s the case I hope they’ve since hired better cleaners."

"Village Green has been a great Apartment! I have to move because of an out of state job, but my wife and I have loved our home here! It is a great space with even better service. Maintenance has always responded quickly to any service request we have. The pool is consistently well cleaned and a fun place to sit and read. And the community is great. And the apartments are super close to UNCW for those interested. I would highly recommend the place to anyone looking around in Wilmington."
