"Finally visited the local record shop. What a treat to have this store in downtown Wake Forest. For a first time visitor the back room offers plenty to explore. The owner was very helpful and gave me an overview of the store layout to help with my shopping experience. I had fun getting lost in the variety of selection. They even offer mystery bundles and boxes for gifting or to discover different artists on your own. There’s so much to see at this shop and I look forward to adding to my rotation of local shopping."
"It is a pleasure to go to Record Krate in Wake Forest. The fun is in the dig through all the bins of records. I always find something fun & unusual when I shop there. Adam is the best & will advise you on all things new & intetesting."
"I've had better luck going through the goodwill record bin. On top of the 800sq feet of garbage sits the king of the pile. Very unwelcoming cashier. This is NOT Solid Sounds, and is a disgrace to the sign."
"Went to Record Krate for the first time today. I went in with the hope to find some cassette tapes and ended up finding so much more. It's a decent size space filled with CDs, records, cassttes, 45s, VHS tapes and a whole lot more! I spent well over an hour searching through everything, and ended buying a whole bunch of CDs and cassettes. The owner is very nice and we had a great conversation. Will be back soon!"
"I was holding back submitting a review until today when owner, "Adam Kirk" refused to return my personal property. Worked with owner for about 9 months until I could no longer take his pettiness, rudeness to me and customers, working in an absolute filthy environment and lastly, my records started coming up "missing" or destructed. No organization and absolute contempt for customers who dare to ask questions or comment on the pathetically outdated inventory and lack of organization. There is a reason why he cannot keep people working in the store. Blames others for his failures. This year's Record Store Day was an absolute disaster for folks in Wake Forest area. Owner was inadequately prepared, falsely marketed to customers and true to form blamed worker or customers for his poorly planned event. I learned more of what NOT to do in the business."
