"Challenging course, seasonally open from October through March, with disc catchers moved to Dorthea Dix Park in the summer. Cement tees, excellent signage, great views of the lake with one hole playing partially over the lake unless the alternate tee is utilized."
"Why is this course only open 4 months out of the year? They say it's to preserve the grass or whatever, which is great and all, but why have a DG course to begin with then? Or why not Open up a different one on this massive property than can be open half the year and the other vice versa. Then the time of year they have it open...during the fall...when every leaf in Wake County seems to make its way to this course and you can't find your Disc even if thrown in the Fairway...Needs some course Maintenance for sure. Other than that, great course!"
"The course is great when it's open...which is rarely. Whomever decided that it was a good idea to close a park recreation during summer months, then open it in the winter, should be fired. Why go to the effort of creating a course that can't be played? It's like buying a beach property, then only going there in the winter. ...or building a playground for kids that is only open from midnight to 5am. Come on Raleigh! Let us play the course!"
"Nice course. Lots of trees to avoid early in shots and is closed over half the year are my biggest complaints"
"Tough but playable course for casual players. Beautiful scenery and layout overlooking the lake."
