"Bleu Canoe is an amazing restaurant with delicious food, perfectly located for lake-goers and worth the drive from other areas! There is a Cajun bent to their rich menu with seafood, steaks, sandwiches, salads & more, and the food is just divine. Although not a traditional hotel, they have adorable small rental cabins available for a real mountain lakes experience!"
"Fabulous restaurant in the woods. All items are mad from scratch. I enjoyed the delicious gumbo Yaya and the meatloaf. Both were out of this world. My dinner mates enjoyed the oysters, salmon and steak. The service was excellent and enjoyable atmosphere. It's a little out of the way, but definitely worth the trip."
"We spent last week at Bleu Canoe and can highly recommend it. We booked the Laurel Tiny Cabin, one of the tiniest, and it was perfect for us. (2 adults and 1 dog) - Cabin was clean, great linens, all the things we needed in an efficiency kitchen. We took some hikes through the woods and ate at the restaurant on the property multiple times and everything was wonderful. Close to some good wineries, fun shops and beautiful hiking. The staff at Bleu Canoe were friendly, accommodating, and made some great local recommendations for us."
"A local recommended Bleu Canoe while we were vacationing nearby. It is tucked away in an area that I would not have thought to drive to for a restaurant, but was only a few minutes from where we were hiking that day. They have a wonderful outdoor dining setup with relaxing music, surrounded by nature. Indoor dining is an option, too. Dogs were allowed outdoors. We split the meatloaf with potatoes - they brought it out quickly and served it on two plates for us. The portions were still very generous. We ordered the chocolate tart and the praline cheesecake for dessert. The cheesecake was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Everyone there was friendly, the food was excellent and served quickly. We can’t wait to go back and try more options next time we’re in the area!"
"An absolute must try when in the area. Like arriving at a Louisiana bayou camp, in Georgia. Started with perfectly cleaned and shucked raw and char-grilled oysters from zone 21 Louisiana. A delicious treat. The house made bread is amazing. All the salad dressings are made in house. The Jambalaya was exceptional and I am saying that with have been to the Jambalaya capitol of the world, Gonzalez Louisiana. The fried shrimp platter with a choice of very tasty sides was wonderful. Make sure to get a side of mac and cheese. It's a treat. Finished with a slice of pralines cheese cake and a very flavorful cup of fresh coffee. Don't miss this gem off the beaten path."
