Reviews
"We wanted to get away for Thanksgiving this year and because of the reviews of this place we decided to stay the week. Unfortunately, the reviews do not mention as to how non private the rooms are, you can hear from upstairs to left to right clear conversations. The heat is very outdated it comes on very often and it either gets too hot or too cold. We turned it off and plugged a portable heater available in the room. The falls package is over priced, you are better to explore in your own as you will pay $160 for a map, a backpack, two sticks and a packed sandwich lunch. We found a lot more on our own using Google maps. The facility is well maintained and the staff is great. The food although good, is not to the standard of the prices. Breakfast is good and the Thanksgiving meal was well worth the $65 price tag for the buffet, it was very good. Also, they need to reserve parking for the paying guess there was an event where caused us to park very far away. Additionally, it seems that this place has catered to the older crowd as it seems we were the youngest couple there (we are in our 50’s) Overall, it was a good facility but there is no privacy in the rooms as the food is overpriced. We will definitely return to the area, but not to this place. Updated response to owner: The purpose of the review is to give future visitors accurate information. Which it’s our opinion and our freedom to express facts. If you feel that we were wrong in giving information, then you are blind to facts. Again, the review was informative and factual, no in a malice intent. We definitely do not appreciate the fact that you feel that it’s ok for customers that paid for a whole week of stay to walk thru the wet grass in the dark cold night 150 feet to our room. You should have designated parking for room paying customers. It should be a valuable piece of information to warn guest when they book a room that the noise level will be high. We definitely do not appreciate your response as you are insinuating that we should not let people know the facts about staying at the property."
"Such an amazing place! Celebrating our 39 anniversary with dinner at Glen-Ella. Food is very elegant, tasty and priced very well! Service was on point. We will definitely be back again."
"We hosted our September wedding at Glen-Ella Springs Inn and it was the perfect mountain destination location for our family and friends. From the moment we started working with the owner, Luci, on the wedding planning, she was kind, professional and responsive in ensuring we would have a perfect weekend. The guests that stayed at the Inn loved the intimacy of the weekend, exploring the beautiful property, having breakfast together and spending additional time outside of the formal wedding with us. The actual wedding ceremony and reception was lovely. It was a classy and elegant event. Our guests were very complimentary of the food and bar and the staff's service was impeccable. We truly would not have had as close to an experience at any other venue in the greater Atlanta area. Luci made sure everything was organized and went as planned and worked well with all of our vendors. If you are looking for an intimate, private and beautiful wedding venue with attentive and professional staff - Glen-Ella is the venue for you. Thanks Luci, Ed & the entire Glen-Ella staff for an amazing wedding experience and memories we will cherish for years to come!"
"An excellent choice for my birthday dinner! We started with the scallops…the bacon jam on top was delicious! I had the the lamb and loved it; my husband had the steak, and enjoyed it. He’s a steak lover and thought it was great so that’s saying something! The chocolate cake for dessert hit the spot and was a great way to end end the meal. Shoutout to our waitress, Linda, who gave great food suggestions and made me feel celebrated :) The ambiance felt so relaxing and elegant. The restaurant was pretty full but the noise wasn’t loud at all. I’d go back on a regular basis if I lived nearby! Staying at the Inn was an extra treat. I loved having coffee on the patio each morning. Our room was lovely and clean and cozy. We’ll definitely be back!"
