Lake Wheeler Park

"We had a great time walking along the lake. It was a nice sunny day, not much wind. The lake is big, not a lot of people this time of the year, we think about going back to fish. One of the Best park we found since moving to NC."

"A favorite family picnic spot. No swimming allowed. Some boats and birds in the water add to the lake view. It's always beautiful. Lots of shade and still some areas in the sun."

"A great place to boat, hike, picnicking, spending time with family. We spent few hours walking on a trail, it was a humid day, couldn’t hike much. Lake is beautiful and most of the places were clean, except some docks with geese poops. This park has nice kids play area."

"Beautiful place. Perfect for kayaking, sailing or boating. Easy ramp access and parking. Small fée for boat entry. Great places to wait in the shade if you're staying back and chairs/rocking chairs to sit in. Awesome picnic areas for large or small groups. Playground for the kids."
