"The minute we walked into The Mad Batter Tea Room ( Jan 4) I knew I pick the right place to celebrate my cousin birthday. I have been to many afternoons teas all over including in the Uk and this was just as lovely. We each ordered our own tier, the finger sandwiches were delicious as were the homemade scones. The desserts were just as amazing. Plenty of tea choices which I ordered the Apple Carmel ( not too sweet at all) Our waitress Marg was so sweet and explained everything to us. They did a substitute sandwich due to allergies. The decor was perfect with all the little details. We thought the hat wall was one of the cutest ideas ( they clean the hats after each use) The owner Delia came over to say hello and make sure all was well. The 50 min drive was definitely worth it. Looking forward to going back in two months."

"Visiting The Mad Batter, a cute-as-a-button tea room, is a must. My friend and I went to celebrate Christmas (as well as 40 years of friendship!) and we had a wonderful time. The Mad Batter offers a regular menu along with a tea menu, which consists of tiers of very fresh finger sandwiches and an assortment of delicious tea (we had apple caramel, yum!). They also have a full bar in the next room, plus special themed nights, too, which I am excited to find out about. Oh, and one of the best parts of the experience was being able to choose a fancy hat from their wall of hats to wear during our teatime! We felt like we were in a special tea room in London! Please note that the conveniently located Mad Batter is reservation only. Enjoy!"

"I had a wonderful afternoon tea experience with my mom at The Mad Batter today and we can’t wait to return. We had two lovely pots of tea and ordered the two-tier tower filled with delicious pastries, tea sandwiches, fresh fruit, and the scone of the day — served, of course, with clotted cream and jam! It took me back to my first discovery of high tea some years ago on a trip to England. Delia, the owner, was incredibly friendly and gracious. It’s clear she puts a lot of thought and heart into running this place. Everything is made and served with love. We had such a wonderful time and even got to try on the hats. :) Don’t miss out on this gem!"

"Looking for the most fun and exciting way to have some high Afternoon tea? Look no further! This tea room is so unique and exquisite. You can order a regular entree or the traditional afternoon tea tier with sandwiches, a scone and many delectable baked goodies. All the baking is done on the premises which means everything you taste is fresh and delicious. lordered my own tier and my dining partner also. You get a choice of 4 different tea sandwiches. I highly recommend the Arugula pear & ricotta, Cucumber cream cheese & dill, Turkey Brie & apple and Crasin walnut cream cheese. I would venture to say any of the tea sandwiches are tasty. The bread was also fresh and soft. tried everything that was offered. The baked desserts really were spectacular. I enjoyed the cookies, shortbread and brownie. The scone was also a treat, imagine a freshly baked scone - I was in love! A vast selection of tea for your own pot. I selected the Moroccan Mint green tea - so satisfying. The place itself is warm and inviting. Such cute decorations. There is also an option for a Kids afternoon tea. The tea room is great for groups, solo trips or events. The service was great, always checking on us and making sure we were enjoying ourselves. I can't say enough about The Mad Batter. This place was honestly my favorite experience in 2023! I look forward to suggesting the experience to others and returning for another adventure."
