Red Roof Inn Durham - Duke Univ Medical Center

"Should have got a red flag when they asked if i wanted a microwave and fridge, but I was tired of driving and this hotel was close to the interstate.The heater in the room is close to the ceiling and was off when i got in the room so it was too cold to shower for hours...the mattress comfortable but the bed was very noisy getting in and out of it. I was awake to someone trying to access my room, apparently the desk double booked the room, didn't sleep well after that. I woke in the morning to a couple of baby roaches so I double checked my bag and checked out well before I intended to."

"Woke up to roaches in toilet, tub walls, floor and my bedside water cup. Commode had dried urine with pub hairs and in front of toilet. I arrived after a long day at hospital. Wish I had looked around better. Quickly grabbed my things after taking pictures of all this filth and went to front desk. Explained situation and want my money back NC Board of Healt needs to close this place down. I want my money back! I would give -10 ."

"Prices are fair, rooms are clean and staff are always friendly. They make me feel welcome every time I come here. Never have any issues and probably never will. Thank you red roof for always providing a welcoming and safe space."

"Definitely a no frills older motel! It is next to the expressway so there is constant traffic noise, The rooms are super basic and not the cleanest...but I have seen worse. It served its purpose for the night but if you're looking for comfort and quiet you may want to reconsider staying here."

"My spouse and I relocated to the area because of a spell of bad luck and had to check in to the hotel. The night auditor who checked us in was extremely helpful on the phone prior to our arrival and upon arrival friendly, efficient and respectful. Without hesitation we extended our stay the following morning and was pleasantly surprised with the Ladies working front Desk. Their smile, attitude and enthusiasm painted a overcast of positive vibes over what would normally be a Hot Humid NC Monday. Lastly, the rooms are extremely well maintained and cleaned. High and low dusting are priority of the Housekeeping Team. Thank you Red Roof Staff"
