"If I could give a -0- I would. It was our first wedding anniversary and made reservations. All 3 rooms shown were absolutely unacceptable. One smelled of mold, the other smelled of smoke, then wanted to put us by the elevator, which was already noisy. He said he would give us a full refund, yet he did not. We lost $35 and never stayed. Ended up at Courtyard, and because of what we went through, Courtyard gave us a free suite upgrade for the same price. It was a blessing in disguise. I have now lost all confidence in this trash heap. (My opinion) Choice hotels will never get my business again. This was in July of 2020."
"Booked my room on line through the app at a good price $75.00 check out the next morning they had add a motel service fee to make the price come out to what they wanted it too, which was over $90.00. To me that’s a lot of difference and not fair. So what good is it to be a choice member and book online to get treated this way ? Other than the bait and switch with my money the hotel is ok and in a good location"
"I wouldn't stay here again. They don't appreciate the money you spend on their half-a$$ rooms. Booked into a king suite with the nice whirlpool tub in the corner. Lol... Got excited for all of about 3 seconds to see it didn't have a faucet so kind of pointless. Tiles were taped on holding it together. It'll do the job if you need a place to stay but just know they don't appreciate you spending your money with them."
"Horrible service. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. My husband and I arrive 30 minutes before check in time and the young lady told me it will be a fee to check in early. I was like oh wow, normally if a room is ready we are allowed to check in but what do I expect, we normally stay at a Hilton or Embassy Suite. Never again. The room had a urine smell, the bathroom was dirty, the bed felt like bricks, the remote control didn’t work. I was ready to go when we arrived. Oh and the Wi-Fi service is horrible"
"The cable in my kids room didn’t work and maintenance came and “fixed” it. They had 5 channels after that. The room smelled like mold and mildew. My room was hot all night even with the wall unit on 65 degrees. I paid extra to get a jacuzzi for my wife and I to have a romantic night. The jets didn’t work so I paid almost $40 extra for another tub. I prepaid using points and debit card. They charged me an extra fee when we got to the hotel even though I prepaid for both rooms a week before we got there. The breakfast was just plain nasty. Dry hard scrambled eggs and bland sausage links with a few cereals. My Choice privilege rewards is 400 points but they said they would only give me 250 points. The phone in the room didn’t work so I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk. The bed was hard and bouncy. We barely slept due to how uncomfortable it was. Overall we got comfort suites prices but an Econo lodge experience. We will probably go with another brand and pay the extra money next time. Choice Hotels are becoming ran down, unsafe, and outdated all over as of late. I been a faithful member of Choice privileges for a decade and now I feel like we may have to switch brands. The fancy high price hotels really don’t differ much from the ran down low price hotels these days. I would suggest the Marriott by the beach. It’s only $30 more per night but much better shape and way better beds."
