"This is a strange little access point to the lumber river. The road is bumpy and not paved. There are some grassy areas to park. The river level was 4 feet on the day I was there and there wasn't enough water to launch more than a canoe, kayak or a small flat bottomed boat. The end of the canal is blocked by a fallen tree and collapsed dock with a 4 foot opening, that immediately leads to a sandbar only a few inches deep. It was quite the chore to get into the channel, but it was worth it. The current is swift but manageable with constant snags. The river is beautiful here with much wildlife. If the river was lower than 4 feet I doubt this ramp would be more than a puddle."
