Hoge-Wood House Bed & Breakfast

"Page and Larry are the best hosts! What a quaint bed and breakfast with delicious meals!! They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. When we decided to go to the beach one day they even lent us their cooler. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. We stayed in Leilani and enjoyed the sofa and chair for relaxing, the soft comfortable bed, well stocked bathroom. We’ll be back!! Thank you!!"

"Page and Larry were very warm and inviting. We loved the flexibility for our check in (due to traffic). The breakfasts meals were very yummy and homemade. We tried Page's fig preserves and fell in love. Our bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very clean. The bed and breakfast was nicely located to downtown and we walked everywhere! We loved touring all the old architecture and exploring the shops. We recommend the Pilot House for river watching. We hope to venture back for our next weekend getaway! "We only stayed here for one night, but we wish we had more time to not just enjoy Wilmington but this lovely B&B! The owners, Larry & Page, were very professional, considerate, and warm. The rooms were lovely with tall ceilings, and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast. They have a nice porch to relax on - we liked just sipping on coffee and chatting out there. They have a huge DVD collection that included kid movies, musicals, thrillers, more edgy movies, and lots more. If I return to this area, we will definitely stay here again!"

"It was our first visit to the Wilmington area and Hoge-Wood Bed and Breakfast made it a very wonderful vacation. Our son and daughter-in-law made the reservations as they had heard of the location to the docks, shops and restaurants. I must say we were very pleased and our rooms were great. Larry and Page made us feel very comfortable along with great conversations. The breakfast that we were served each morning were works of art and plenty to eat. I would recommend staying at Hoge-Wood to all and we plan on going back."

"My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Hoge-Wood house. Great location, free parking, large bedroom and bathroom and very comfortable bed. Breakfast of fresh fruit (mango, pineapple, kiwi), pecan waffles and bacon was excellent. My wife and I enjoyed Page's strawberry syrup, it was very good. They made egg's for the wife of the other couple that was there when we were there since she did not want the waffles, so that was also very nice. Would definitely go back. Great time!!!"
