"An old school elegant Chinese restaurant. This is Chinese only, not asian fusion. They have the large wide crunchy noodles. It's a large place with a lot of seating. It's underground so lots of steps from the parking lot. There is an elevator by the rear parking lot entrance. Very enjoyable."

"We stopped in while visiting from out of town. We were there during the week and it was still relatively busy. The service throughout the night was outstanding. The ambience was really interesting. It felt high class. My Orchid Shrimp dish was excellent. A couple of the other dishes were overcooked a bit. We had two cocktails. My wife had a Malibu Bay Breeze that was very good. My Old Fashioned was very watered down. Even though everything wasn't perfect we still enjoyed our evening."

"There is truly no finer Chinese food on Long Island than Orchid! We have been coming for the past 20 years and always have a great experience!! The service is always top notch thanks to our favorite waiter Gary who has become a part of the family! The food is second to none; our favorite appetizers include the scallion pancakes, their ribs, dumplings, crab Rangoon’s, and of course the egg rolls. Their Peking duck is phenomenal as well as the sesame chicken, multiple lo mein’s, and the best pork fried rice!! Their ice cream is the perfect end to the wonderful feast!! Highly recommend!!"
