"We were traveling and needed a stop for the dog to get some exercise. This park near Knoxville was a great choice. Two paddocks.. one for large dogs (30 lbs or more) and the other for smaller dogs and puppies. The large paddock has a jumping dock for dogs to dive into the lake. Plenty of parking, including three handicap spots right in front of restrooms and paddock entrances."
"The best dog park in the city. It's an off leash park with a fenced off access to the river. A large small dog area , access to water, shaded parts, and of course the dock."
"This dog park is large and fun. It has multiple areas for dogs of differing sizes. Below 30 pounds and above 30 pounds. It also has a lot of areas for pets and their owners to explore. The water area is essential great, with a dock and water access for dogs that enjoy water. There are garbage cans and dog poop bag stations throughout the park, and there are walking paths as well."
"This is by far my favorite dog park for me and my dog in Knoxville. I have a pug who needs shade and ways to cool off. When we go around 7pm most days, my dog absolutely loves having the shade from the park and trees and the opportunity to cool off in the water - although he still won't go swimming!!! This dog park has a reasonably sized small dog area. It has a big large dog area with a walking trail that runs the perimeter, a large gravel space in the middle, covered seating for the humans, and grass that runs the perimeter. The park butts up against the river so dogs can jump in and swim - this section is fenced off so you don't need to worry about your dog getting in the water if you don't want them to. Be advised there is no gate or fence preventing dogs from swimming across the river, but there is a boat rental business that kind of shuts off the area (although not totally). There's even a dock for dogs to use to jump into the river if they like and large rocks that my dog loves to climb near the water. There are gendered restrooms at the entrance for humans - a fountain with a dish for drinks for the dog and a little handheld shower for a dog bath. This is a fantastic dog park that I just cannot recommend enough as long as your dog won't swim away from you in open water. Otherwise I'd suggest one of the other dog parks in town."
