"This place was rough. There's a huge lifted spot in the main parking area where it looks as if hundreds of cars have had their undersides collapsed by driving off of it. Second, there were ants in our room. Fortunately, we were just there to sleep. Lastly, I asked for an extra blanket for my elderly father and the attendant said "we don't have extra blankets. I'd have to take one from another room and I'm not doing that." what kind of hotel doesn't have extra blankets? Don't recommend and would not stay again."
"I never got to see the rooms, so I can't rate them. Here's what happened to us: We got a hotel reservation 2 weeks in advance for a room, just what we needed for a weekend stay. Everything was great - Priceline told us the room was $160 + 12.75% tax, for 2 nights, we put that in the budget. The trip begins, goes well, we make to the hotel. At the counter, we're informed that there's a $150 deposit in addition to the room cost. We were floored. We hadn't budgeted for nearly double the cost. The man said we would get the deposit back if the room was undamaged, but we were caught off guard. I asked why we were not informed of this deposit added last minute during the reservation process - I asked where this deposit policy is written in black and white so I can see where it was missed in our planning. The man got mad at me, said he doesn't have anything to show me in writing and if I don't like it, I can go somewhere else. My sister, traveling with me, said she could arrange in her budget to cover the deposit. The man said it was too late, he cancelled our reservation. He basically didn't like my attitude and cancelled it. I told him I didn't want to cancel the reservation, he didn't ask me before he did it, and my sister had offered to cover the added amount. He said again, it was too late. I said, well make a new reservation then, and he said he didn't have any rooms. I said, you had a room just a second ago before you cancelled my reservation - so how do we fix it? He said "you can go somewhere else". So here we are, in a strange place, 400 miles from home after a long day of driving, with nowhere to go cause this guy behind the counter didn't like my attitude about being told I suddenly had to pay double the room price we were quoted. VERY BAD SERVICE! Luckily, two hotels down the road, had everything Baymont had, for a lower price. Room was $152, including the tax, for the weekend, deposit was only $100, and the 2 guys working the counter were nice and helpful, they explained the deposit up front. I'll be reviewing Quality Inn next."
"Went to the vending machine it scanned my card and I couldn't get any items, I used cash it still didn't work. Ice bucket didn't have a bag in it, got ready to shower, we only had 1 hand towel and didn't have a single wash rag. Got up and went to the office for coffee, the machine didn't work, I asked the lady working, she wasn't sure how to turn on the relay/breaker to work the coffee and juice machine. Definitely not a place to visit, try a different hotel."
"Rooms themselves were pretty good. Liked fridge, microwave, and room AC worked great. Always bugs in room and not the cleanest floors/countertops however. The front desk staff have a major attitude and don’t all tell you the same thing. I’ve been staying here off and on for the last few weeks and have sometimes needed a deposit and sometimes not. Seems they cannot get their rules straight, or just plain don’t enforce them consistently. Two of the three front desk staff I’ve encountered are power-trippers and have had an attitude with me. Really makes you uncomfortable."
