"great spot in midtown. i went at noon on a Monday and it wasn’t crowded yet. i wanted something spicy with broth and the brisket ramen with kimchi sounded good. i asked the server, David, if he had tried the kimchi but he hadn’t. i worried that it might not be good or sweet etc like they are in non-korean restaurants. David checked with the kitchen who assured him it was good. and it was solid. the ramen was toothy and although i would have preferred the brisket to have been boiled vs grilled, i enjoyed it. in a pinch in midtown, i’d definitely go back. it’s also a value at $21 in the area considering Quality Bistro next door had caesars salad with chicken for $35, and Milos across the street is like Quality."
"This was my first visit to Wagamama, and I have to say that I was very impressed with the experience. The decor is very nice and somewhat trendy, the service was great and friendly, and the food was good without being terribly expensive. I will definitely be returning it is a great spot for lunch in Midtown Manhattan."
"Made dinner reservations here for me and my step-mother for our night out in the city. The atmosphere was very nice. When we got there it wasn’t crowded or anything but it did start to fill up later. We ordered drinks (a soda and an asian Arnold Palmer) and told the waitress we needed more time to decide on food. It took forever for her to come back for our order and even longer for our drinks. We got wings to start and I ordered the Pad Thai while my SM got the Salmon Teriyaki. The waitress told us that they can’t guarantee that our appetizer would come before our meals. We both thought this was odd but maybe this is common elsewhere. My meal came first. Then the wings. And finally, after a good while my SM’s meal came. The pad thai was basic, really nothing to note. The wings were also boring with a generic sauce that tasted vaguely asian-inspired. They only came with 5 small wings which I wouldn’t have minded if the price was lower or they were at least tastier. The salmon was good and was a fairly large serving. To finish up we had some blooming tea which was very nice. Getting and paying the check took absolutely forever. Overall, it was fine. If it were anywhere but New York I might have even recommended it, but in a city where you can get great authentic food of any cuisine for half the price I’d say skip it."
"Recently had a visit to Wagamama in Midtown with a group of 6, and the service was pretty solid. The staff handled our party well, which is always a plus. As for the food, it was good overall, but it didn't quite hit the spectacular mark. The noodle soup was enjoyable, however the ramen's broth was a bit on the bland side, lacking the depth of flavor expected from ramen. It’s important to note that while this is a chain the Wagamama in Dubai actually has excellent ramen. While the food didn't blow us away, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service made the experience smooth. If you're in the mood for decent noodle soup, Wagamama could hit the spot. Yet, for a truly standout ramen experience, it might fall a tad short."
"A classic of all time... not only is the atmosphere very good, but you can definitely try the rice bows, which are very delicious. It gets extra good when you add eggs on top. The prices are also reasonanle...so the balance between budget and eating out is also good."
