"Food is great! Just a little overpriced… and long wait time even when waiting in person… restaurant nearly empty but took about 20+ minutes to get only 2 bowls of noodles.. Also takeout containers are too small for noodles it’s kinda hard unless I have a bigger separate bowl to pour it in. Overall 3.7 star"
"We got the signature with sliced beef and the braided beef noodle soup, Xiao long bak, and spicy wontons and the lamb pocket (forgot the actual name). The spicy wontons were ok, not the best, but not bad either. Mainly, I didn't like the watery soupy base as opposed to a strong, spicy thicker base. The Xiao long bao was bad. Don't get of you're a connoisseur. Mainly, the wrap was very thick which ruins it for me. Also they don't automatically give you ginger/vinegar sauce. The beef noodle soup was overall ok. I got thick noodles with he braised beef. The beef was mediocre, not tender with melting tendon. My broth was good, and the thick noodles were excellent. Oh and the bok Choi was cold and hard, didn't appear to be cooked with he soup at all. My wife's signature on the other hand... She didn't like much. She reported the noodles were cold, and the broth was not as flavorful as mine. We didn't like the lamb pocket (whatever it's called). Honestly, it tastes more like Mexican seasoning and felt like it was eating a taco. No that that's necessarily a bad thing, but not what we were expecting or hoped for there. Lol Overall, the place was on, but not the same as say flushing."
"I’m so confused by the good reviews. The food is Extremely overpriced and they give very small portions. I ordered for pick up on a rainy day, soup just sounded like a great and comfy idea. I thought it would be a more elevated version of regular Chinese food…I was hugely disappointed. I ordered the chicken soup with pork wontons and they literally only filled the container barely half full and there were about 3 wontons. At any normal Chinese restaurant they fill it all the way up and it’s about $5. I also got the pork belly dish and it doesn’t even come with rice!!!! No rice….you have to pay extra for rice. No rice for a dish that is almost $20 on its own is ridiculous. I called and they told me they just “don’t” give rice, you have to pay extra. And then when I asked why the soup was barely filled they told me thats just how they fill it….like okay. I will never eat there again tbh. Don’t waste ur money. I’m sad to leave this bad review cuz I was very excited to try a new place and was pretty disappointed. It sucks when u decide to give a new place a try and ur super excited but it just wasn’t worth it. I wish I had just went to my local Chinese restaurant, would be cheaper and more filling."
"Cold noodle with hot sauce, it's quite interesting sensation. The ingredients are simple but combined to enhance each other. The portion is big given the price though."
"DunHuang is a restaurant for Chinese noodles. We came on a holiday Monday for lunch. Seating is a bit cramped because the dining area of the restaurant is small, they can fit maybe 5 parties total. I think this place can improve the decor, there wasn't a whole lot to look at inside. I ordered the zha jiang noodles, which is chewy noodles in a meaty brown sauce. No complaints, it was good! I thought the portion was appropriate and the price was also fine. It was a little unusual that water was not provided to each table. I wasn't parched necessarily, but it would have been nice if we had some glasses of water."
