"Although it did feel like we were squished in there, it did fill up quickly, so I appreciate the need to keep good space. We shared Nutella French toast and it was fantastic. Also, love that you could have a glass of bubbly too."
"THE best coffee I’ve had since leaving Australia three weeks ago. And IVE TRIED. I’ve tried finding a decent cup SO MANY TIMES, I’ve given up and tried again. The flat white at Citizens was close to perfect, not too hot, creamy oat milk, not too thick froth, tight froth, good brew, not too strong or too watery. They even serve in real crockery (Acme cups to be precise). So good I had to have a second one immediately."
"I ordered the golden French toast. It’s the worst food experience I’ve had in a while. The brioche is covered by a lot of really sweet syrupy cream that does not taste good or complementing in any way. There was a number of sour berries(with an overflow of juice) and some crunchy caramel candies lying in the plate. I would guess the idea is to complement the intense sweetness of the syrupy cream. But it just does not work. It feels like this was only set up for the aesthetics but no concern for taste whatsoever. I had two bites and just cannot continue eating it. My husband ordered the cast iron egg brekki and it was not good either."
"We went to this restaurant starving. We were really looking forward to eating. We ordered our drinks first, which came soon. We realized food was taking longer, about 30-40 minutes. Soon after, a waiter came our way and we asked him where our food was. He left to go bring it a few minutes later. Mind you, we’re ordered the ‘Big Brekkie’ assuming it would be……big. When the waiter got the food 45 minutes later, the size of the food was not even enough to satisfy a toddler. The ‘2’ slices of bread was one cut in half. The math was not mathing. The mushrooms were smaller than my fist. On top of all this, the food was cold. It was most likely sitting on the counter for 30 minutes. The waiter took away the food and apologized. He went to microwave it. At this point we wanted to leave and just paid for the coffee. Wouldn’t recommend."
"Really great spot to have brunch. Loved the aesthetic and set up of the cafe. The menu was vegetarian friendly which was a plus and it had a broad range or savory to sweet brunch options. We got the avocado toast which was really quite delicious, but the star of the show was the golden French toast. It was like a fun surprise with every bite. Really great spot to go with friends or even by yourself! I really enjoyed and it will for sure be returning."
