"We had family in town that wanted a good southern buffet. We’d never been here before so we took the chance. It didn’t disappoint at all. The price was phenomenal for the amount of people and the food was delicious and super fresh."
"Went in for Thanksgiving 2023.We had a nice black lady for our waitress. The food was nasty. Peach pie was undercooked. The fried green tomatoes was soggy and greasy. The food was just yucky. Must have new owners. They should close on holidays to let the cook staff off. They clearly did not want to cook for us this Thanksgiving"
"Upon walking in, I got an instant Chinese buffet feel. Nothing wrong with that of course, as I do love a Chinese buffet, but I had a feeling that at some point this was a Chinese buffet and they changed the menu. Paid upon walking in which I believe was 14.99. I felt it was a bit steep but, not really for GOOD bbq! Picked a seat, and helped myself. First plate was fried chicken, pulled pork, fried green tomato, mac and cheese. Fried chicken skin was good and crispy with good flavor but chicken was rather dry. 3/10 Pulled pork was nothing special. The meat wasn't anything to write home about and sauce was overly sweet. 2/10 Mac and cheese was mid. Not overly flavorful but not horrible either. 5/10 Fried green tomato however was GREAT. 10/10 Cabbage is cabbage, it was fine. There was some sorta potato and cheese dish, 7/10 Second plate, hoped for the best w/ another piece of chicken, got another fried green tomato, tried the chili and chicken and dumplings. Second piece of chicken was more dry than the first. Chili was SO strange. It had chili flavor but something was odd about it. Like it was "Chili food" or something. Dumplings were nothing more than tasteless flour "slabs" and the chicken and gravy was ok 4/10 I gave up on the mains at this point and tried a few small portions of dessert. Bread pudding was decent 7/10 and the pinapple cake w/ whipped topping situation was actually really good. 9/10 Over all, obviously I wouldn't return. I was only visiting town for a few days anyway, but sheesh. It seems that people in town do enjoy it and maybe I was there on an "off day" but, I wouldn't try again if I ever make it back. People of Greenville, ENJOY! More for you."
"I was not happy with the food at this restaurant. Temperature of the food was not hot at the buffet. The seasoning used for the greens is not to my liking. I tried being fried Chicken it was too hard. The atmosphere is cute. I guess you have to be from the neighborhood to really enjoy the menu. However the catfish was on point. Nicely fried and very tasty as a matter of fact I had three pieces of it it was so good. The cashier was pleasant. Ther isn't very much to say about the place. I was really upset that the cobbler was very runny and it did not have the taste of nutmeg or cinnamon. It appears as though they use the juice from the canned peaches as a result the dumpling and the crust to the peach cobbler was very soggy. Very disappointing actually. But don't take my word for it go visit them yourself and write your review on it."
"Chicken dumpling can be a whole lot better with more meat and vegetables. Salisbury steak can be a whole lot better. Salad bar needs to have meat varieties on the bar but nice. The crab meat salad was so sweet they don't need sugar."
