Walmart Pharmacy 1830 Galleria Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28270

"Called to refill medication my 85 year old father is out of (he is in Charlotte and unable to refil his meds and I am in Washington) 10 minutes before close at 700. Tech is kindly going over his other 4 medicines with me so can refil the other meds he is eligible to refil to prevent him from running out of one that could potentially cause him to stroke out if he runs out. By time done it is 706 and I am then informed that is now too late to place the order and pay for the refills . Apparently the pharmacist turned off the computer (perhaps it automatically cut off but sounded like it was volitional on part of pharmacist). Asked me to call back tomorrow. As I am usually working without lunch or other break from between 9 and 7 Monday through Friday, I am not certain when i will be able to call back. I am a physician taking care of patients and don’t have the luxury of punching out at a given minute - I have to take care of the patients. As someone in healthcare who has spent as much as 132 hours per week in the hospital awake and taking care of patients (there are only 168 hours in a week), and who probably got paid less per hour than the pharmacist, I have little sympathy for a pharmacist who wants to shut down at 700 pm especially when my interaction with his pharmacy started at 6:50. Shamefully unprofessional behavior by this pharmacist or the pharmacy if the pharmacist was not given control over the situation."

"The employees are usually nice enough, however this location is perpetually busy. Expect 10-25 min standing in line on average, not including RX fill time. Sometimes they are so under staffed it can be more like 45 min wait, if I didn't work next door I would go elsewhere. They do seem to be trying harder as of 2/18, hopefully it gets better."

"I just never have a good experience with them. Multiple times I've called to see if my prescription is ready and they say it is, when I get there 50% of the time it's not and I have to wait days for it. My insurance is on file but they never apply it until I ask and I always get an attitude when I do. They kept messing up a prescription where they were supposed to call my doctors office and they never called, it took me 2 months of going back and forth with them to get my prescription. This is really the worst pharmacy I've ever used. The only thing going for it is that 70% at least once person there has a decent attitude."

"The only reason I'm giving this location a 2 star is because the Pharmacists are polite. The tech, or whatever you would call her because she obviously doesn't do what her title refers, is a different story. I believe her name tag had "Amanda" or "Mandy". I'm not sure. But when I visited this location on 10/16 to pick up my mothers medication, she was just down right rude. I understand we all have our days, but if you don't like your job to the point where you take it out on your customers, work somewhere where you don't have to deal with people! This isn't the first time I've noticed her doing this. This was just the first time I caught a glance of the name. A couple of times I have been in there and had other people wait on me and seen her doing the same things. And don't let one of her co workers ask her for her help. As soon as they turn their back, her eyes are rolling. ALL the customers can see it! Something needs to be done about that! I'm sure there are plenty of people who would LOVE to have a job and not be so ungrateful!"
