"Service good; food ok. Salad that came with Souvaki was good with the Greek dressing and feta cheese, but the beef was over cooked and dry. I brought home rice pudding and baklava home to share with husband. He didn't care for either. This place could be a gold mine because it's right on Lake Erie. But the food needs improvement. I might add that there were very few people there."
"Not busy at all. Told we couldn't sit out on the patio as there was only one server. Just ordered an appetizer and two bowls of chicken noodle soup and waited over an hour. Then, the server was busy waiting tables out on the patio we were told was not open. The server was very nice. Food sucked. Never had chicken noodle soup made with macaroni??? Think they were over whelmed with the 4 couples that all came in between 7 and 9."
"Loved dinner at Demetri's On the Lake. No wait for a table on the deck, and we only saw three bees / yellow jackets despite the heads up from our hostess. Mackenzie took care of our drinks right away and gave us time to peruse the ample menu and daily specials. That of course compelled me to go overboard with food, but I loved every bit of it. Started with their loaded potato soup, then had the Wednesday Wings Special, ten for $5.00. (You MUST order wings when you're this close to Buffalo. It's written into the New York State constitution. Look it up.) My son beat me to the punch ordering the Buffalo Tator Tots, but that didn't stop me from getting my own. The menu has TONS of options, especially if you like Greek food like souvlaki and moussaka. I was tempted, but opted for the fried scallops, which tasted even better looking out over Lake Erie. My son had the Texan Burger with Onion Rings, BBQ sauce, tomatoes and lettuce. My wife and daughter are less adventurous and went with very generous helpings of chicken fingers and fries, but we all walked away with leftovers for tomorrow. It was just what the doctor ordered after a 7 1/2 hour drive with sporadic torrential downpours. Now, I'm going to drift into a food coma and dream of hot wings and sticky fingertips while the Mets spank the Braves in Atlanta."
"I know it’s the 4th of July and staff would prefer not to be working; I get it. But, when the staff groups together at the counter and just complaining about the customers. It’s unacceptable. This place had sub-par food with my Greek Salad being wilted lettuce and the gyro just burnt to a crisp. Sent it back and didn’t reorder. Yuck. Other members of our party had dried out pasta like they it had been heated up in a microwave. The building is falling apart and the restrooms are like walking into a truck stop with urine all over the seats (the smell - gross). The outdoor tables being held up by napkins. It’s a great location downtown, but the owners need to take a hard look into their business. Don’t go here - unless you prefer a bad experience."
"The food is served in large portions at reasonable prices. I went on a busy Sunday during the lunch hour and received the experience that I expected; full dining room, timely service, good food. One thing that makes this restaurant stand out is the fact that if sitting at a window seat, you can look out at the pier/lake Erie while you eat. A very pleasant dining experience. After finishing my roast beef sandwich I left feeling full and satisfied."
