Byrne Dairy and Deli

"After several bad experiences at other places and writing a bad review or two, it’s refreshing to finally receive great customer service along with super good freshly prepared food. After a long night at work and very limited possibilities, Byrne Dairy exceeded my expectations. During the late hour, both employees assisted me with smiles on their faces, especially the young woman working the deli. She enthusiastically prepared the best deli sandwiches I have ever ordered there or anywhere. Employees like her are a rare find these days."

"There glass bottled milk never has a expiration date labeled on the bottle and it’s always sour and makes me sick… lawsuit waiting to happen… label the expiration date on the milk or don’t sell it!"

"This store is absolutely pathetic. Please keep in mind this review is based on frequent visits, not just a one-time experience. Trash cans near pumps are always overflowing with garbage all over the ground. Front side of store opposite pumps is also always covered in garbage. Inside the store you are greeted by more overflowing trash cans by the coffee area. Garbage all over the floors and counters. Donut case is disgusting. Floors throughout the rest of the store are always dirty. Not just what you would expect from high traffic, what you would expect if they just never get cleaned. Like ever. Mens room is always appalling. Urine all over floor, visible feces all over the toilet, and a dirty sink and mirror. Coolers never get stocked. Always literally half full, with the missing product visibly stored inside and unreachable. You have to ask an employee to get things for you. Booth area is always filthy along with the front counter, coffee and crumbs on everything. Floor behind deli counter always has trash and food all over. I've watched the same male employee kick things out of his way multiple times. Bend over and pick it up! I'm genuinely convinced this store doesn't have a broom or a mop! Whoever manages this store, and not just the day-to-day people but upper management too, should really be embarrassed. Deli sandwiches are good but outrageously priced. Pizza isn't very good but is usually fresh at least, other hot foods I've gotten are always old. Prepared cold foods are ridiculously overpriced. The only thing they seem to be able to get right here is gas."

"I went to the Byrne Dairy in Cicero to get the 1.00 half moons. I bought 3 and was charged 1.59 each at register and then informed after checking with 2 employees they were no longer 1.00. I told them I did not want them. They then proceeded to throw them in the trash instead of selling the 3 in the bag to me for what I thought was 1.00each. That makes good business sense!!"
