"Super awesome way to visit a small town. You get to ride in these cool pedal-assist rail bikes which travel on a discontinued trail rail that seats 4 people. The adventure is a total of 10 peaceful miles round trip. We went through an open field of cattle, over several trusses, and made it to an amazing tunnel. The tunnel was hand-carved by several convicts. 19 convicts died while carving away at the tunnel and buried above the tunnel. To this day only 15 of them have been identified. The town of Andrews is a quaint, cute town with so much room to grow. This could be a good family day out or a couples thing. Super fun. We are planning to go back out again when the waterfall hike gets included. Tickets are sold out until the end of the year, 2023. The new schedule is set to come out sometime in January. You can also call and be put on a cancellation list, which is how we lucked out."
"We had a blast !! Judy and all of her staff insure safety first !! The tour was so much fun❤️this was a perfect date or a family adventure! The scenery and the animals for a perfect addition to in the day. We will definitely be visiting again soon."
"This was such a beautiful experience! We went at 12pm, it was still a bit chilly but the morning fog mixed with smoke from a mountain forest fire made this eerily magical. The owner Judy makes sure everyone is safe & familiar with the protocols, and the guide Joe is super friendly, helpful and you can tell truly loves his job! There’s a lot to see on the way- old bridges, streams, abandoned structures, wild animals and cows etc. At the end you go through an old stone tunnel and get to take a break at the stream before returning back. There’s picnic tables & an outhouse. No frills but that’s the point - disconnect, get some exercise & enjoy the beauty around you! Bring snacks & something to drink during your trip - there’s bins in each cart to keep belongings safe. This was a beautiful experience and I’d recommend to anyone who likes exploring."
"I Wanted the family to experience the beauty of the blue ridge mountains a bit differently this fall. This excursion did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. I've never seen the mountains from this perspective. It's quiet, serene peaceful and absolutely gorgeous. This place is a must."
"My Husband and I did this tour a few days ago and it's an adventure that I'd recommend to anyone looking to connect with the beauty of nature. With the scenic wonders, inclusive approach, and a strong focus on safety, it's an experience that's not to be missed. You have parts of the trail where you ride over open deck railroad bridges with crystal clear streams below. Its gorgeous!! The fall colored leaves with majestic mountains make for the best scenery. So whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply looking for an exciting outdoor activity, this rail tour has something special to offer. I can't wait to return and do it all over again when they extend the trip and add a waterfall excursion. Hopefully soon."
