"I very much look forward to visiting and getting lost in the timelessness of the history represented here. I'm actually nervous about it. I mean you are right here when you are here. I should be there today. God willing, I will be there tomorrow."
"We stopped here while going to Pigeon Forge. Nice place with a river view. Very good parking space. The museum and a few other shops are very close to this location. The Welcome Center was closed when we reached there (after 5 p.m.)."
"We stop here whenever we have time to or from Gatlinburg. It has clean restrooms and friendly staff. It’s by the river, and time permitting, you can sit in one of their rockers and relax. They have rockers inside too, with coffee for visitors. If you need maps or information, they have plenty to share. Today (7/23/23) Charisse showed me their trophy for winning best haunted house last year. It’s is a heavy spirit, handmade by a Cherokee resident. His bobbing head and earrings make him come to life. If Stephen King sees him, he might write a story about him! I told Charisse he needs a good Native American name."
"Great visitors center. Small but cute inside. What makes it great are the staff members. Very courteous and well informed. They will help you with any question you may have. Lots of brochures and maps available. For solid info about the area drop by."
"This is a nice welcome center with all information you need. We bought our fishing permits here to fish in the river. (Though we caught nothing, it’s nice to fish in the beautiful river.) For the fishing permit, you will need to present your ID, give details about your weight, height, eye color, hair color… (08/16/2021)"
