Fire Mountain Trails - Bike Trail Head

"Rode fire mountain trails this morning, first time for me riding in North Carolina. The trails green and blue are good to do! Didn’t do any features there I rode by myself. A good friend was aware of me riding and I let her know I was of the trails. But from flat texas the climb to Ravens Roost was intense coming up via Uktena. Had to dismount a couple of times. Nevertheless I enjoyed the ride and the down hill back to the parking lot was smooth. A bit slippery on the leaves in some turns, but that was expected in Autumn. Can recommend it to ride here! Stopped by after the ride at BC outdoors in town. Made a small donation to the trail system. Wanted a beer but their tap was down."

"These trails are some of the best in NC. I never had so much fun on a mountain bike!. Trails have so much flow and well marked. You can thank Eduardo and Marco from Trail dynamics. Not only are they great trail builders but are the nicest guys you could meet. Their trails are clearly made with love for the trade and for people. Kudos to them. "Fire mountain trails are a fun set of trails for the intermediate rider. Mostly flowy well groomed trails with short bursts of rocky rooty sections. All major features are optional. Most air time is accomplished by boosting a nice roller, there are a few jumps scattered on the trails, they are all optional and very few gap jumps. Over all the trail designers have turned the space into a nice well constructed set of flow trails."

"Very nice trail system offering some challenging terrain. Even "Tinker's Dream", which is rated easy, is a formidable mountain bike trail. You start off with a good climb right out of the parking area but are met with plenty of flats along the way to rest. The reward when getting to the top is a nice bench area and view."

"Fire Mountain We are a well travelled couple looking for a resort within driving distance to unwind and found Fire Mountain. From our early conversations to our arrival, we knew it was the right decision. Hiram and Matthew are hoteliers who have a passion for what they do and an appreciation for the beauty that surrounds them. This is not just a business for them and it’s obvious. This place is magical. We stayed in the Red Thunder accommodation and it was exactly as described. It has the perfect amount of luxury with quality amenities, a very comfortable bed, sitting area, elements from a few of our favorite brands and we believe, the best views one could ask for. On the recommendation of Hiram and Matthew, we did some incredible hiking and had a few unexpected adventures that will give us great stories from the trip. We also had massages and the therapists were the best we’ve ever experienced. We enjoyed a romantic picnic lunch (which we had for dinner) and the presentation, the wine that was chosen for us, the freshness of the food was pure deliciousness. Farm to Table is not a catch phrase for this property; it’s the real deal. Matthew and Hiram are so knowledgeable about the area, there is always something to do. And there is enough acreage to just roam around the property if you don’t wish to leave. We are so grateful we found Fire Mountain we made a reservation for our next trip while we were still there. If you’re looking for an adult, beautiful, peaceful, magical place to unwind, this resort is for you. Thank you Matthew and Hiram. We can’t wait to return."
