"We got quotes from 3 pool companies just before the pandemic. By the time we came to order well into the pandemic the prices for all had risen, but Ocean Blue's had risen the least and was the best, so we went with them. We were ordering in Feb 2021 and they told us installation would likely be in Nov 2021. We paid our deposit - a lot of money! Once Nov 2021 came around they set a date to come and install the pool, and 811 came out and marked the power lines and other utilities. When Ocean Blue arrived to inspect the site they found that the underground power lines through our backyard were too close to where the pool was being installed (there are legal requirements for distances etc). We discussed moving the pool but we wanted it in the desired position. Ocean Blue said that we should call the power company to arrange to move the cables, and they would reschedule us for Jan 2022. This wasn't a problem to us, as we would not be swimming during the winter! The power lines were moved and they arrived to install the pool in early Jan 2022. The way these guys work is amazing. They arrived just before 8am and marked out the site with me to ensure the pool was in the desired location (and conformed with boundary set backs etc), and then they started digging. By 1030am the pool and a crane had arrived and the pool was in the ground by 1115am and being filled with water. Over the next few weeks concrete was laid, plumbing and electrical equipment was installed and the pool was cleaned and equipment tested. By March we were ready to swim - we even had a heat pump to warm the water. The concrete they laid is beautiful - they took so much care with it, laying it, making sure it is cambered to drain water, and scoring breaks into it. The concrete guys on site listened to exactly what we wanted and did an amazing job on the brick edging that we'd requested. They took real pride in their work. Be aware that your existing grass and yard will be trashed. They have heavy construction equipment and they dig out yards of earth (which they later remove). Your yard is going to look like the moon while work is ongoing and you'll need to re-landscape afterwards. Ocean Blue told me this before so it wasn't a surprise, but make sure you build this into your budget. They did a rough grading when finished, so there was minimal leveling required before we laid new sod. The end result is everything we dreamed of. I can't think of anything that I'd change about it if we did it again. All the Ocean Blue guys were friendly and listened to what we wanted and took real pride in the work that they did."

"Phenomenal work, service and communication. Ocean Blue Pools and Spas did not disappoint, as a matter of fact they went above and beyond. We did a lot of research before choosing a company and I mean we met with all the bigger companies and a few of the smaller companies in town. We read reviews and checked with the BBB. We did our homework on numbers and pools for roughly 3-4 years. We ended up choosing them because they were very knowledgeable and didn’t treat you like they didn’t need your business because they were booking so far out like another local company. We were set to begin our pool this month (January) and they actually came a month early. They answered every call or got back with us promptly, when we had questions. Our pool is almost complete, as we only have the demo left. Derek from start to finish has been amazing. As well as the entire crew from digging (which the owner was even on site for a bit), the electricians they sent, the guys doing the concrete and to Josh who came on site a few times to get the pool ready to clean and then to clean it. Josh was so sweet, patient and knowledgeable of any and all the questions I had . Superb team. I can not stress how professional each and every one of them were. Thank you for all of your work and time. I definitely have not had one issue and would recommend them in a heartbeat. "We needed to renovate an older pool that was already at a home we purchased. It is our fist pool and needed some TLC. Ocean Blue Pools did an amazing job. We ended up having to have the entire surface chipped out to the original shotcrete surface and start over.
