"Somewhat negative experience. They did manage to come out to do the normal chemical check on the pool, which is all I was looking for at the time. I decided to go a different direction with the continuous pool maintenance. I then sent three different emails asking about payment options, as well as leaving a phone message twice and received no response to any of the emails or voicemail. Judging by other reviews it seems like they do good work, but I question their responsiveness if you have questions or need feedback. Edited: I have edited this post without being asked on 1/2/2023 as I think my initial rating was harsh considering the problem. Edited #2: Added on 1/3 in response to their response: My question was initially sent on Tue, Jul 12, 2022 at 9:52 AM, which is pretty far before year-end. I received no response until they reached out to ask me whether it had been paid, while ignoring the question I had asked. Regarding the email text, yes, I saw that, but I still had a question, which can sometimes happen. The team did send a quick response to me once I did pay, and they have managed to respond to this review pretty quickly, so I'm left with the impression that they can be responsive, just not to questions asked by people who have already had work done."
"I cannot begin to express how incredibly professional and detail oriented that this company has been! I recently relocated to Charlotte, and I have never previously owned a pool. I was anxious about caring for it appropriately, but Bryan and his staff really put me at ease. Any time I have had questions or concerns, they have responded promptly, efficiently, and kindly. Not to mention the incredibly reasonable pricing. One day, I had a pool pump emergency, and Bryan personally came out to attend to the issue for me within minutes. If you need a pool service, this is your company! TRY THEM AND THANK ME LATER. LOVE YOU GUYS!"
"In response to Brian’s response III: The entire issue is when Brian was first notified of the sand in the pool by my neighbor (we moved), Brian did NOT accept responsibility for the failed sand filter he installed the month before. I have all the email correspondence beginning in late March. It took until middle May before he admitted that, in fact, it was sand and the filter had failed. This six weeks, prime selling season, was lost and Brian repeatedly failed to accept responsibility for his shoddy work. Once he finally admitted to the sand, it took another two weeks before the correct parts arrived and installed. The pool was soooo bad because Brian failed to accept responsibility for the new sand filter that he installed in March. Please see attached email to me from Brian. He is a liar, trying to make himself look good by disparaging a great client. I plan on making numerous posts per week until all the emails and pictures are exposed. My recent posts informing any potential client to stay away from this guy and company should be taken seriously. If you read the post by Sky Blue pool, Advanced Pool Technicians, the responsible party was missing in action to admit and rectify the problem. The problem obviously didn’t get better as posted by the dark green picture of my pool. I have a email from Brian speaking bad about both pool companies I asked to assist prior to Sky Blue. If you want the best pool service company in the greater Charlotte area, call April at Sky Blue Pools. They are honest, stand beside their work and know how to professionally maintain a pool. I am not a novice with pools, I grew up in Miami and have had a pool for 45+ years. In Response IV: Not a single company fired me. Pool King was excellent. They are the ones that confirmed it was sand and even after you disparaged them in writing which I have and will post eventually. I have ALL the emails. One of us is lying and for the benefit of this online service, it is my duty to disclose all the facts. Had Brian accepted responsibility immediately, we would not be having this conversation. I feel so strongly against Brian's lack of integrity, lack of honor, untruthful and irresponsible response when altered of the issue, that I will continue making truthful updates and responses. Better hope a problem doesn't occur after work paid even with clear pictures. The pool companies wouldn't maintain the pool as I previously said because of the sand blowing in from the filter. And Brian failed to accept responsibility. Bottom line. Cost me two prime selling months for a home inside the loop just off Providence Road. Prime location. Couldn't sell because of Brian not accepting responsibility. Once Sky Blue corrected Advanced Pool Technicians running irresponsibility, the house went into contract within 7 days. Every neighbor that was "watching" the house, knows the green pool caused by Brian kept our beautiful home from selling during April or May or June."
"Brian and his team are great. He was able to get back to me within about 48 Hours of me leaving a voicemail and we set an appointment to review my renovation work. I did get 2 other quotes but it took quite some time to get the other contractors to send their prices so by the time I made a decision and got back to Brian a month had already passed. I'm really glad I ended up going with him. He took more time to explain things to me and gave me more options for my renovation than anyone else. He really seemed like he wants to provide me the best products for my job and was always willing to take the time to help me. He was a bit more expensive but worth it for me. Total cost for our renovation for Pebble Tec, coping and tile was about $27,000. I would definitely recommend Brian and his team. Thank you for a great job Brian!!"
"Brian and his team are top notch! They go above and beyond. My experience with pool builders and pool service companies in Charlotte has been terrible until I found Brian. With Brian you get a team of professionals without a language barrier. Competitive pricing and they don’t try to up sell you on everything. I had Brian install a salt system for us and right away he noticed our pool builder never even installed the water temperature sensor. He said we will fix that for you too. That may seem simple, but understand our pool builder came out multiple times and never fixed there own mistake or even disclosed the sensor was just hanging loose. Pool builder sent out a start up service co. They didn’t fix it or call it out either. Brian saw it right away and took care of it because they were already there. If you’re tied of pool service companies with bad customer service and questionable work I highly recommend you give Brian a call."
