Thrill of the Hunt 4713 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403

"I am a vintage shopper, and stopped in Thrill of the Hunt. The merchandise was ok, though very crowded and hard to navigate around. I would say it’s not a “thrilling” place to shop vintage, but I stop in from time to time. The main thing I find is the non welcoming vibe of the woman behind the counter. She is dead silent, (which is fine) but I noticed they had a sign they were moving. I asked her where they were moving, and she snipped back “across the street”. Period. “Across the street”. I kindly further inquired “where across the street?”, and she snipped back “behind the CVS”, and turned back to whatever she was doing behind the counter. Maybe she was having a bad day, and just not feeling socialable, but one would think she would want to let her customers know where they plan on moving more clearly. Maybe she doesn’t care!"

"I live in Virginia and visit Wilmington often.This is a go to must everytime!! The owner is very helpful and kind and has fantastic prices on her items.. A fun, funky and eclectic selection of seldom seen goodies for indoor and outdoor decor.Def a thrill to hunt!"

"If you have children or just in general like good customer service then this is not the place for you. From the time we walked in the door till the time we walked out the women behind the counter was nasty and rude. My mother & I went along with my 2 year old son and my 10 year niece. Because my child sat in a chair A CHAIR I was told my child was not well behaved. I told her if she didn’t want children in her store maybe she should put a sign on the door so that people would know. She made the comment that she allows children in there just well behaved ones not like mine, I understand he shouldn’t be in the chair as it was cheaply made and could stain very easily but I was already handling it i had already removed him from the chair twice and had him in my arms ready to walk out the store but the lady decided she had to be nasty about it and handle thing completely wrong. As a business owner there’s a way that you should conduct yourself and just as a human there’s a way you should treat people and this business just doesn’t understand that. I will not be giving them my business and from now on it’ll will be off my list of places to go to. I would however recommend Vintage Market right down the rd past jungle rapids on the left They are amazing. Went there on the same day same group of people and kids and a COMPLETELY different experience."

"My sister was looking for a potting bench. Lo and behold one had just been dropped off at Thrill of the Hunt . . . It was all wood, rustic and a little wobbly . . . In other words PERFECT. We bought it for a great price and it looks simply put lovely in our garden. Thank you to wonderful owner Linda!!!!"
