"You must stop in and see the beautiful woodwork of this small family owned business! Words and pics can't do it justice. See for yourself and appreciate the craftsmanship. We were greeted with a smile and enjoyed a pleasant conversation. Thanks!"
"Metzger’s Burl Wood Gallery is truly a destination complete with beautiful pieces and a HUGE selection. I have to say, it was a little overwhelming at first. This small family-owned business has unrivaled craftsmanship and truly believes in quality over quantity. Janet and Daniel worked closely with me every step of the way to make sure I was completely satisfied with my piece. Which, I am! I’m over the moon with how my side tables turned out and I cannot wait to show them off to everyone! Thank you Janet and Daniel!"
"The furniture is beautiful. I went in there for a piece of wood for an Island counter top. The piece I needed totaled 9.5 sq feet. I wasn't needing Redwood, it was a lesser expensive wood. I am assuming it was the wife of James Metzgars who was helping me. She quoted a price of $3000. I questioned the price, there are completed items on the floor, specifically a black walnut table with a table top measuring 11.5 Sq ft, complete with a base and labor for $2400. she gave me an arrogant look and said "then go buy that" and turned away and went to another customer. I wont be dealing with them anymore. What she needed would have landed me in jail."
"Was disappointed to not get to shop this store after hearing so many good things previous to our visit. We entered and were met with literal disdain, over the fact that two of my children had face shields in place of the cloth facial covering (nose and mouths still covered to protect other's from aerosolized germs). Not that I have to disclose the fact that they have a history of breathing issues, and are in the group of individuals exempt from the state mandate of wearing cloth, but we were never even given the opportunity to ask for reasonable accommodation. The other 5 individuals in our group were appropriately masked. I elected to wait outside so my husband could browse and his time in the store was met with further disinterest and tiffy attitude. There are other burl artists that we will happily give our business to elsewhere, who are happy to engage with friendly dispositions. If you have children or are an individual with breathing disabilities, heed the previous warnings of this store not being friendly."
"Beautiful work but the owner is extremely rude to families with children. We walked in holding our 3 year old daughter's hand being sure she didn't touch anything and he immediately started lecturing us about kids getting chocolate all over his furniture and how she shouldn't be there. Our daughter's hands were clean and she was nowhere near touching anything. Needless to say we walked out and won't be back."
