Meadows of Dan River Walk Cabins

"We stayed 2 nights in single bed cabin. Cabins are 2 night minimum. Clean and comfortable with full kitchen and porch with rockers and propane grill. Wifi is no longer available except perhaps in cabin #2. Lack of wifi is reason for 4 stars. Lavender shop on the property has a variety of lavender based items."

"If you're looking for a place to get away to enjoy peace & quite, this was the best cabin we've stayed. Very private and two really nice hiking trails if you want to enjoy a nice walk without the crowds."

"We really enjoyed staying there. The cabin had 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a family meal. The trees on the large property were beautiful. They even had a lavender farm and shop where you could buy soaps and other things made with lavender. There were also trails you could hike beside the Dan River. Great place to go during warm weather as it tends to be much cooler up there on the mountain. We’ll be back."

"First the owners are amazing people! Many many years of coming here and the whole family absolutely love them. Second, the cabins are amazing. Fully private, clean, appliances always worked, and bathrooms are just as clean with all you need. We always enjoyed visiting Meadows of Dan, we actually refer to it sometimes jokingly as Meadows of Don; referring to the owner. There is a Lavender shop onsite, that is a whole another experience too!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed every minute spent here. Our cabin, #2 was lovely inside and out! It was impeccably clean, well appointed and we did not want for anything. Don and Barbara, the owners, were as nice and friendly as could be and very accommodating! Barbara's High Country Lavender Farm and Shop is a MUST! She is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful about all herbs, oils, etc. and their uses. We highly recommend this peaceful and beautiful place to rest your body and soul."
