"Took taylors flexibility/ beginner contortion and its was amazing! Her knowledge of the body is impressive & super helpful throughout class. She also does handstands workshops & the entire staff seems fun and helpful."
"If you are looking for a supportive community with a healthy balance of strength and sillyz, I highly recommend Bloom! Feeling strong in your own body without worrying about judgement is what Bloom is all about, and they take that super seriously. They have a lot of really good beginner focused classes."
"This is a wonderful, locally- and women-owned aerial and fitness studio. They offer a wide variety of classes on things like silks, trapeze, Lyra, and strength training, and they have many workshops, as well. They produce a phenomenal performance art show every summer called Bloom, and this will be its 10th year. Want to learn about circus arts? Fire? Be part of an amazing community that's all-inclusive, supportive, and fun? Then this is your new home!"
"This aerial studio is owned by two women who are local, strong, and very talented! Their whole teaching staff is wonderful! They have a variety of classes, some on apparatuses I didn't even know existed. They do at least three shows a year. Critters & Tea was last weekend, and it's light and fun. Bloom is the main show that happens in July; there's an adult and a family-friendly show...I believe this summer will be Bloom 10. Then there's another smaller show called Shadows, which has much deeper subject matter and addresses our shadow selves. I attended a fire workshop last weekend, as well, which was super fun. They usually have one in Spring and another in the Fall, and they have other workshops, as well. If you've ever been curious about circus arts, look at their class schedule and sign up! It's so nice to be a part of that community of mostly women who support one another in their creativity and learning!"
"On a scale of cotton candy to Brussels sprouts, Bloom Movement Artistry is a poke bowl, where you choose your own adventure. When I pulled into the warehouse parking lot for Bloom, I didn't know what to expect, but from the moment I walked through the door, I felt so welcome. I had previously emailed the studio to determine what level of class I should attend as I was visiting from out of town, and they clearly shared where I would fit with my experience. I felt like a kid in a candy shop as I considered all the classes I could take while in town. I really appreciated how the instructors wanted to see their students think as well as providing some theory points. If you're ever in Charlotte, definitely visit Bloom. In 6 weeks of traveling and visiting aerial studios, Bloom truly stands out as friendly, welcoming, creative, and solid in their aerial instruction (probably my favorite of the 13 studios I visited)."
