"Good school but lots of fights. This school needs to be more strict on the fight policy, more cameras and more security. I really wanted my kids to go to this school. But so many fights, it looks like it won't be changing soon , due to the lenient policy. I've been told by many students that there are fights every week. News crew interviewed some of the students due to an awfull fight that send a student to the ER. So scary, no cameras to alert the officer. My kids will not be attending this school."

"I went to Discovery, hoping for something not too easy but not too hard. Teachers that would show and respect every student and vice versa. A schedule I could keep up with with classes that were easy to find. But this isn't even close to what I found. I found ghetto students that didn't care about their education unless they were coming from Moore Middle or from a different state. Talking over teachers and taking up space in the hallway to prevent those that actually care from getting to class on time. But the teachers are no better. I found teachers cursing at their students and giving referrals and detentions for little things like asking a question or stapling their completed work together, and when a higher staff member walked in the teacher would act extremely fake about it and deny what they did. They take simple stuff and either drone on and on about it or make it so complex so no one understands it. When parents call they get no answer from the teachers. When a student emails their teacher about something urgent and important, they get a response days later. There's no one you can talk to about it and no one will understand. Discovery High School staff has so many restrictions that this school is close to a prison; every chaotic issue is swept under the rug or just dropped down onto the students and matters get even worse."

"I think this school was really good last year other thank all the fights that happened but once the 2016 school year started it was bad. We aren't even allowed to buy chips at the vending machine during lunch if we sit down. Students are getting referrals for be late to restricted lunch. That's so dumb to be honest. I'm Graduating this year and I feel like my senior year experience is going to suck because of this school. Students are getting dress code because their jeans have tiny holes at thier knees. Administrators give iss for dress code and which is taking time from learning and here is so much traffic in the student parking lot because of this new way there doing things. I get home at 2:40 because of this traffic. If I wanted to get home late I would have rode the buss instead. I feel like we aren't not even allowed to breath with out getting a referral or iss!!!"

"THIS school is one of the worst schools I've ever been too. It's so strict. I can't even get a orange juice in the morning for breakfast. It's hard to socialize with friends or say hi without someone screaming go to class constantly. We have 0 freedom. It feels as if I'm in prison. I go to lunch and I can't even stand up and socialize with my friends because we always have to sit down and not get up(even though it's not enough lunch tables). One thing I can say is the dance program is amazing that's the only class I can go to and feel happy. Teachers are mean (most) and they are constantly worrying about what your wearing or toyr behavior instead of you education. Everyday I wake up and I do not want to go to that school it's so terrible. Transferring schools is a must!!! Students need to speak up!!!!"

"This school was great at the beginning, as in 2015. But it changed when we got that new principal. It's horrible. They literally control when we use that bathroom. Like, I cannot control my bladder. And lunch is the only time we get free time. But now, we can't even get up during lunch. What is that even? I thought this was highschool, not elementary school."
