"First off I would like to say that the front desk clerk, and both nurses who cared for my daughter were wonderful. I have always had pleasant visits in the past with all providers. I wish I could say the same tonight for Dr. Parmar. I brought my daughter in to be tested for strep because I didn’t want to wait for her pediatrician’s sick clinic the next morning, so I could start much needed antibiotics sooner. He entered the room in such a hurry he left the door open. HIPPA violation. He never closed the door for the entire 2 minutes he was in our room. My daughter went to jump up on the table when he entered, and hit her knee on the wooden part of the table and started crying and wanting to be consoled by her mother because she injured herself. He immediately disregarded her injury, and starts patting the table and telling her to get up there, as she is crying wanting comfort from her mom. As this is occurring, the first thing out of his mouth is “ Did you get her tonsils removed? I see she had a procedure scheduled but no record of the procedure occurring.” When I answered “No, because” he scoffs and cuts me off and tells me that I should have had it done and now I’m there with her to be tested for strep. I tried explaining the reasoning why we decided to forgo the surgery, but he didn’t want to hear it. He cut me off again saying that recurrent strep was grounds for surgery. He looks in her mouth while I try to explain to him the ENT told us that strep alone was not reason to remove them, and states Yep it’s strep (which I already knew) and proceeds to tell me again how I should have had them removed. I once again tried to explain there was good reason why the decision was made between myself, her PCP and ENT to forgo the surgery only to be interrupted again and told he was going to treat my daughter with Amoxicillin. My daughter is ALLERGIC to Amoxicillin. So I tell him that and he says well ok is cefdinir ok? I said yes she’s tolerated that in the past. He then asks when was the last time she had strep and I stated a year ago. As he walks out the door, I’m told once again to have my daughters tonsils removed if this happens again in the next 1-2 years. I am absolutely floored by this terrible and unprofessional treatment from a physician. To walk into the room spewing judgements on an educated parent’s decision in what seemed as an attempt to shame me for my decision, meanwhile trying to prescribe my child medicine she’s allergic to, is disgusting and one of many reasons people have lost faith in their healthcare providers. Maybe more time should have been spent on looking at the child’s allergies, instead of being more worried about an elective surgery not being performed, and actually treating the patient like a human being. I understand healthcare providers are worn thin, but this kind of behavior is unacceptable and it was obvious he made up his mind about us before even entering the room. Disappointing."
"When the kids get sick after hours or when their dr can’t fit them in… I will always!!! Bring them here… they deserve more than 5 starts from the ladies in the front to the drs in the back…even if it’s a wait time they will keep informing you that they apologize for the wait … my 1 year old is currently sick at the moment the dr couldn’t fit him in… we are patiently waiting for them to open up as I write this … ♥️"
"Our first visit to this clinic, and I cannot say enough good things about it! My son required stitches and I was impressed from the moment I walked in the door. The clerical staff, nurse, and physician all went above and beyond. They were fast and efficient. I will definitely come back for after hour care in the future when needed. Thank you all so much!"
"I don’t give many reviews. Sitting in parking lot of children’s urgent care west right now after just leaving. Daughter fell and hit back of head on rock, small puncture wound but head wounds always bleed badly. Didn’t know if it would be too small for stitch or staple. Stopped bleeding and headed straight there. The clinic was very nice, clean, quick, and sweet to my little girl. Miss Nicki at the front desk was very welcoming. Nurse Rachel was very caring and helpful to us. Which kept daughter content. Dr Parmar was very gentle and quick with the one stitch that was necessary. Really appreciate you all this Friday night. 6 stars. Perfect experience."
"We rushed our daughter to Children's Hospital this week with a severe laceration on her foot. We were so grateful for the care and above and beyond attitudes of Dr Parmar and each staff member we encountered. Their diligence and competence helped ease our concerns and efficiently handle the situation. We highly recommend Children’s."
