Organization for Tropical Studies

The Organization for Tropical Studies (OTS) is a renowned nonprofit consortium based in Durham, North Carolina, dedicated to providing leadership in education, research, and the responsible use of natural resources in the tropics. Established in 1963, OTS is comprised of approximately fifty universities, colleges, and research institutions globally.

With operations in three countries and research stations and education programs in Costa Rica and South Africa, OTS has been at the forefront of tropical biology studies for over fifty years. Offering over 360 courses in tropical ecology, conservation, and global health, OTS has trained over 8000 students, including some of the world's leading tropical ecologists.
