"I am so pleased with how Birdie was treated during her first visit with SABT. From the private, low-stress entrance, Birdie was able to get into an exam room based all around her. She had a couch to sit on during the visit, water available, pheromones active, a frozen interactive food toy, dozen of treat options, and a barrier set up so if she wanted to stay out of view she could. SABT was so patient and kind with how nervous she was. They worked so quickly to get a game-plan together to where I got discharge instructions and medications same day! I would recommend them to anyone for their pet."
"If you’ve already discussed separation anxiety and anxiety or behavior problems in general with dog trainers, and spent time training and working with your dog.. the only help you will get here is the same exact advice you’ve already been practicing. $600 for the initial appointment. They also made an offer to use their trainer to get further help (but with no consult to make sure you’re not wasting $200 more on training you’ve probably already done) and some medication changes. I am so disappointed because I told her in the appointment that I was already doing most of these things, hoping she’d have more suggestions that I’m not currently doing since she specializes in this. She made it sound like there would be extra info in the discharge email, but there was what we talked about (what I was already doing before seeing her) and some book recommendations. I wanted human help, which is why I made an appointment with a human. I was really hoping to get my boy some help, as he continues to have anxiety issues. I paid $600 to have someone help, it sounds like they just want us to come regularly and keep doing what we have already been doing. Coming in more frequently and getting the same info (that I have already been using & practicing) won’t do much. I even clarified that in an email, and asked for some help (you get 30 days of emailing with the appt) and they said “it takes time” and they’re expecting the medicine to do a lot. Obviously it takes time, but I have not been given much to work with, therefore nothing is going to improve with continuing visits. Very disappointing. I will say, if you’ve never done training and have never seen anyone for anxiety issues for your pup, it might get you somewhere.. but a good trainer and a vet who knows about anxiety would be just as (or more) helpful and a lot less expensive."
"Dr. Maggie & team are the best! We went from feeling guilty when leaving our dog alone to his panic attacks to thriving on less medications after our first visit!"
"Dr. Maggie & her staff were great in accommodating me and my dog Charlie. Prior to the appointment, I called multiple times to ask questions and express some anxieties about Charlie’s reactivity. Amy was very helpful in answering all of my questions and ensured that there was a barrier up during my appointment with Dr. Maggie to prevent added stress to Charlie and I. Renee and Dr. Maggie were very knowledgeable and realistic when forming the treatment plan for Charlie. We left with a clear plan and an open line of communication with the staff!"
"Dr. Maggie has been helping us navigate a very complicated cat situation and I couldn't be happier with the treatment. Without Dr. Maggie's help we would have to make some very difficult choices and I will forever be grateful for her help. The entire staff is knowledgeable and kind. Cannot recommend highly enough."
