"I was referred to Rosa Barry, NP because she is supposedly a headache specialist. Upon my visit with her, she informed me that she can’t help me with my migraines. Huh? A migraine is a headache. I waited 7 months for this appt. and paid $60 co-pay! Now I have to wait to see a true specialist for who knows how long?! Novant Health needs to improve with their communication. Situation is totally unacceptable!!"

"My actual rating is negative stars. They do not deserve one star. I am still appalled by the way my mother and I were treated here. I wouldn’t recommend Rosa Berry to anyone, nor will we ever return here. I live three hours away from my mom and she lives about 50 minutes from this office. In total, I traveled almost four hours to take my mom to her appointment. Due to traffic, we were 19 minutes late. We were immediately told that we need to reschedule because they have a 10 minute late policy. I understood that and asked if we could just have ten minutes with Rosa instead of the scheduled 30 minutes. Rosa refused to see us at all, even knowing how far I traveled to get there. I asked the receptionist if I could speak to the manager and oh my gosh, Julie Clark was so arrogant and rude. She expressed no empathy at all. She said, Rosa is fully booked for the rest of the day and you need to reschedule. She did not offer any alternative for us such as seeing if we wanted to stick around to see if maybe another patient didn’t show or if an appointment ended earlier than expected. Nothing, she was so cold towards us and I really would like to know why. When I asked her why she was so cold and didn’t offer any alternatives, she replied, Most people don’t want to wait. In an effort to avoid wasting our time and gas, we decided to wait around. The next patient came and I explained the situation to her. She was so empathetic towards my mom and I. She said she would gladly let us have her appointment. She even gave me a hug because at this point I was so disgusted that I was crying. The patient practically begged the staff to let us have her appointment, but Julie was so adamant about my mom not being seen. She still refused and said it was the provider, Rosa’s decision. Julie even had the nerve to say I harassed the patient and she wasn’t even present when I was speaking to the patient. I think this is probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If this was strictly about policy, there is a much better way to rely that information. Show compassion, be empathetic, offer alternatives, go above and beyond due to circumstance. Now I am stuck trying to find a new neurologist for my mom. I have requested to speak to Rosa and Julie’s superior."
