McLeod Dillon Hospital & ER

"So I came in today because I have meningitis like symptom for 5 days and almost passed out in the morning. Doctor talked to me for about 8-10 mins and after I told her with my symptoms and conditions, she told me that I should go home and wait to see a family doctor instead. I told her I almost fainted just an hour ago, and I highly suspected there is something wrong with my brain or spine because I can feel there is a certain type of “pressure” that is pressing on my brain. Without any further explanation, the doctor left the room and a bunch of nurses came in and started taking my blood samples. Now I have realized that the doctor actually ordered every single test they have on me and drew almost 10 different blood samples for all different testings, plus brain CT and ultrasound for my lung etc. So basically , either I should go home with no test being done or you will test me on everything? And both suggestions are coming from the same doctor? Let’s be reasonable and civil please. And if this is how it should be done, then the world doesn’t need doctors to visit patient anymore, just send everyone through the same process to do the every single tests and that’s it. Why you even bother to ask us for anything?? 0 star, terrible! You should feel ashamed McLeod, I’m sure not all doctors are behaved like this, but this really makes patients upset."

"Friendly registration staff, friendly triage staff however absolutely the worst patient care. Hours waiting in the ED waiting room and upon walking out the registration clerk and security officer were puzzled i wasnt seen yet. If the ED is that understaffed and overwhlemed then go on divert. Sadly after this experience I wouldn't recommend this site at all."

"Dr. Hamidi was amazing! Examined me and kept it light while I was in panic. Calm during my storm. I would also like to add, even though covid is running wild in our nation, if you are sick you need to go to the hospital. Don't wait until you are near death to go the hospital. Some things can be treated when handled sooner."

"So my husband went to The hospital because he has boarder line colon cancer and all the doctor did was ask him 1 question and then gave him a piece of paper and told him to go to another doctor. And when I gave you a honest review the first time y'all took my review down. Just because I gave you a poor review doesn't mean you can take it down. If your hospital was doing better and actually helping others you wouldn't have gotten my review rating at a low point."

"I saw some other reviews that were not pleasant and I know there are a lot of different situations. Just wanted to share that we had a great experience (if you can ever say an ER visit during a global pandemic is great)… Dr. Hamidi (I think that’s how it was spelled) was amazing. He was thorough, efficient, kind. Communicated with us, showed concern about my health, took the time to answer ALL of our questions with patience and kindness. Although we aren’t from Dillon, they made us feel at home."
