"Every Thurs, there are protesters are out at Planned Parenthood & Allergy Partners is ALLOWING THEM TO PARK IN THEIR PARKING LOT! Today there were literally no spaces left for legitimate patients! The lady at the desk said there's nothing they can do, but I'm pretty sure "parking for AP patients only" signs could be put up with the number of a tow company for me to call while I'm sitting in my car for 30mins, making sure I don't have a reaction to my shots. Does the lack of action mean that AP actually supports these protesters? Just in case, a donation to PP has just been made in the name of Allergy Partners of WNC. It's a shame there are no other allergy clinics around. *edit: after speaking with the practice manager, a small "parking for patients only, all others will be towed" sign has been placed at the entrance. I do hope more, larger ones will be added. If you see something, say something so the offenders can be towed. Everyone should be able to access their doctors without being harassed."
"I was referred to Allergy Partners after having a Septoplasty in September 2023. I go to the shot clinic on my lunch and have no issues, however my 2 appointments I’ve had thus far with a provider have been incredibly disappointing. Let me say, the providers are wonderful, but my issues are with the front desk. My first appointment, the woman checking me in was far from pleasant, which I spoke to Dr Copenhaver about. I went today for my first follow up with a PA after starting injections for an appointment at 0800. Everything they send you asks you to arrive 15 minutes early, so I arrive around 7:45, but the doors were not open to the lobby. I waited outside in 19 degree weather hoping someone would see me to open the door, but no one came. Finally, at 0800 someone came and opened the door. I was not checked in until 0805. I was taken back promptly, but I can’t help but think about patients who do not have reliable transportation for appointments and use Ubers or get dropped off and having to wait in the cold. If there was a different allergist to go to in Asheville that could pick up my injections where I’m at, I’d change over, but I’m not familiar of any other allergist in the area. All in all, I do not recommend scheduling an appointment at 0800."
"The doctor and nurses that work here are extremely nice! They made me feel so welcome and comfortable. I’m so happy with my visit and I have already recommended other people to come here!"
"Dr. Van Wye was awesome! He was thorough and warm. We felt genuinely cared for and my boys had a very positive experience. I like doctors with common sense thinking that don't just give out prescriptions to satisfy anxious minds. I see there are a few people that reviewed him negatively and commented that he says certain tests can be a waste of time. We did discuss testing for allergies, but my question was if he is allergic to some seasonal things, will it change treatment!? And the answer is no! Why am I going to pay for a test that ultimately won't change what we do?? We only needed to do a breathing test to make sure he wasn't asthmatic."
"Dr Smallwood is awesome my daughter says! He is thorough and talks to her And not just us her parents. He gets her thoughts on her situation. The nurses are super sweet too even during stressful situations like the allergy testing on a child which my daughter was nervous for. My daughter said she didn’t feel rushed when she was feeling nervous about getting the testing done. They waited until she felt more comfortable to start and talked her through everything."
