I paid online, walked in the office at 11, went straight to a treatment room, doctor saw me immediately (he was awesome!!), had exam/X-rays/injection/prescription meds and I was out the door in less than 30 mins. "So as we went for our normal routine walk we unfortunately got attacked by a neighborhood dog. My wife got bite to the point she needed stitches. Lake James Urgent Care was the only place open besides going to Mission hospital. I pretty much never go to Mission unless I have a limb falling off. Dr. Hammel was straight forward and had good bedside manner which helped given the situation. He was available and was able to stitch everything up. The office was very clean and fully updated with most equipment for just about any emergency. It’s a drive if your coming from Asheville but it’s worth it and he is a fantastic alternative to Mission for those types of emergencies. Nothing but good things to say!!!"
