"This is an excellent school. The amount of experience the instructors bring is impressive and the opportunities that come from it are incredible. You get out of it what you put into it."
"This place was not what they made it out to be when I talked to a student advisor there and took the tour. I enrolled specifically to get recertified in welding, which I explained several times to my tour guide was the main purpose of my enrolling. He told me that they can give me all the certifications I would need and a variety of welding techniques, which is what I was looking for. In my first class the "instructor" was learning the material for the first time along with the class! In many of the classes we learned by watching YouTube videos on the subject matter, which I could have done from home and saved a lot of money. When we finally got to the welding class I discovered that they would NOT certify me on any welding techniques and I would have to go someplace else on my own and pay for my own welding test. In fact, the only type of welding they really touched on was stick welding on carbon steel. I asked about MIG and TIG welding and when we would get to weld on aluminum and was told we would only be welding on carbon steel and would not be doing any TIG. Seems odd that they wouldn't teach aluminum welding at an aviation school. I dont know of many airplanes made out of carbon steel! Again, the entire reason I enrolled in this school was to get my welding certifications! The classes they offer only touch on different aspects of the many areas in the aviation and industrial maintenance field. Not really enough to get a good job unless an employer was desperate and couldn't find anyone else with experience. Plus that employer would probably pay a lot less to an employee with this little knowledge. The school also says they have a job placement program. Turns out this consists of nothing more than handing a student a page of local jobs from job posting sites, which the student could get on his own. They also told me that I could easily switch from day classes to evening classes if I got a job during the day. Turns out this was also not true. I had a daytime job lined up and learned that it would be a big hastle to switch my classes and that because the day and evening classes do not run succinct with each other I would have to wait several months to restart my classes making my time of enrollment several months longer. So I was very disappointed in this school and regret wasting my time. I dont feel I should have to play the loans for the school I took out since they didnt deliver what was promised and may seek an attourney to see if I can sue them for breach of contract or something. I would not reckomend this school to anyone."
"there are different locations in other states, but this school is terrible. I've been at this school since July and have experienced some things that just take my focus away from the work. the school keeps taking in students but they don't have enough instructors. some of the instructors here are really good and knowledgeable, but some just show up and teach and act as if it's not important or that your problems outside of school don't matter. the school also sides with every instructor because they are so short staffed. as of right now there's not really anyone in charge. our director of the school (director of students and instructors) left and they have not had a replacement yet or have not communicated anything to students. the school promised that you would be able to test here but now that are DME left you can't test here, you have to go like greensboro or somewhere else. the school does not seem to care about student problems unless its about you paying them. I have had an instructor that told me "if he was my boss he'd fire me) because I was leaving 30 mins early to go to work. this school has so much drama that its hard to focus. there are so many problems with this school, I don't know if other locations deal with this, but its not what i signed up for. I hope the school reads this because they really need to reevaluate whats going on here. and fix these problems. other student's have told me the same experiences. so it's not like I'm just making this up. 2 instructors got corona and they only sent those classes home for 2 weeks. don't waste your money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Are you curious about aviation mechanics? Want to learn welding or working sheet metal? Well this is the largest FAA certified mechanics school in the nation. The staff are knowledgeable with over 60 years of experience. And if you question how you could learn about planes in such a seemingly small building, there ARE planes inside!"
