"Both times I made an appointment, I waited more than and hour. The nurse spends a lot of time typing. The room is cramped and windowless. While waiting, there is no access to a bathroom. Better to go to Urgent care."
"I made the appointment and got a text saying to “wait until your name is called,” so I arrived early and waited, and waited, and waited. No one is there to answer questions, there is only the nurse who is behind a door with a patient. I checked my phone and saw that I’d received a new message that instructed me to “sign in at the kiosk.” Why the conflicting instructions? I waited in total and hour to see the nurse. Plus, the kiosk had me repeat information that I had already given online when I made the appointment. Waste of time. The nurse was fine, although with this new insurance through Aetna/CVS there are absolutely no doctors taking new patients in the Asheville area, so the best you can do is see a nurse at this Minute Clinic, and why it is called “minute” when you wait so long with an appointment, I don’t know."
"I've had pleasant experiences here in the past but today was pretty negative. First off I showed up ontime for my apt and waited outside of the tiny clinic outside. After waiting for 8 min I notices a old piece of paper that was folded over from rain that said the clinic was closed! WHAT! I went inside to ask about why I was able to make an appointment online but the clinic was closed. The woman at the front just shrugged and said she didnt know anything about it and to ask the pharmacy. I went to the pharmacy and they told me they had moved inside and pointed me in the correct direction. After signing in I waited for an hour and 20 min for my appointment! Then the staff was cold and dismissive of me. I told her I wanted to refuse service (she wanted to check my blood pressure and ears, and so on and asked 20+ questions) and leave and she told me I couldnt! Then my covid test came back negative but she told me that I should treat it like a positive BC I was exposed to someone and have sniffles. (this is my 3rd negative test this week) Why bother getting tested if they tell you not to believe the results?"
"Wonderful! I needed a TB test, could not wait weeks for a doctor's appt, saw this thing called "Minute Clinic" and made the last appt for the next day. I was running late - the doctor called me to see if I was still coming, and said "don't worry, I'll take someone in line and you can be after." As it happened, that patient went long enough that they should have technically been closed, but she took me anyway. The doctor had to clean the whole place herself, took my insurance and did everything. When I entered, it was a single, fully equipped exam room and the doctor provided professional, efficient service. I am amazed that something so rational and useful exists....a walk-in clinic, 5 minutes away, with the pharmacy right there? And she can treat many routine things there! Much better than an urgent care place, and getting a doctor's appt is a pretty big hassle, and very expensive. This is going to be my new go-to for routine medical needs. Really impressed!"
"The Nurse Practitioner, Amy, was amazing! She was respectful, compassionate, and helpful! The only Doctor that compares to her is Dr. Johnson in Mars Hill. It was awesome to be around this lady because she was smart and full of life! I've never met a more likable, hard-working, and admirable woman! I trust her with my family members more than any other doctor!! She will help you. If you've been to a thousand doctors that can't find what's wrong, Amy will find out. She is an extremely high caliber person! She's a health care professional with total class! If I was about to die, and I needed some difficult life-saving procedure, I would rather have Amy than any doctor in North Carolina! She's more determined to help, and she's more competent! I've never been so impressed with any health care professional. I will get her oppinion first if I ever need brain surgery because she will make every call and do all the research necessary to make sure she knows what's going on and what I need. Then, she would direct me to the single best brain surgeon on the planet."
