"I love the school. I don’t have any kids but I’ve seen the kids that come out of the school. Even when I was not volunteering there. I was able to volunteer. Really get to experience the school and it’s great qualities. Teachers first main goal is relationship. The teachers are not just educators but are mentors. They work as a team to bring the most out of the kids that are put in their care. I’m so glad I found this school."
"My child recently completed first grade and has thrived in the CSCL environment. Being from traditional background, I appreciate the spiritual aspect and presence of the school. My child grew tremendously in reading and math this year. They also do the pledge of allegiance which I think is important."
"I've been teaching at this school and my boys have been attending here for ten years. I love the spiritual life, the community, and the creative approach to academics. I can't imagine a better place for my kids--or other people's kids--to learn more about the Lord and the world around them. A safe place like this is so essential when there are dangerous ideologies targeting kids in the world."
"Not only did my child attend this school but I actually provided my organized...skilled theatrical expertise through my program Actin' Up Beyond the Stage. I was able to work directly with students and staff. Very cold....close minded body of people. Polished dressed up racist group with a lot of influence from Morning Star church, minus God. The Caucasian young ladies LOVE the African American athletes and many times did not handle rejection well when not liked. The ladies would touch, hug, play in hair, hit, jump on and flirt with but the boys could not. When the girls touch it was calledchase the "brother" "sister" culture but it always left the boys, particularly the African American males in trouble. The principal often times attempted to soften the obvious blow by stating, "My biggest problem here are the white kids" -Sandy Woods. My child among others were naturally not accepted into the school culture. No! Comenius was not a good fit for my family. Understanding that an arrangement was made. An agreement to finish 1 EXTRA elective programming class from home since the school has 5 quarters. While remaining committed to offering my program in exchange for my child's tuition (every Monday In preparation of school Art Explosion ) the school did not uphold their end. Sandy Woods originally told me to go direct with each teacher for a recommendation letter. Instead of Sandy Woods principal of Comenius letting my 15 year old child move on with another school option she called the new school herself and told the school hateful and ugly things about my child. Even went as far to tell the school my child is not allowed on Comenius campus. TOTAL LIE. Deformation of character and hate at it's finest. This is the most ungodly act!!!! My child was never suspended or expelled. Comenius is hiding behind a Christian title. This is not a school for the new in christ or for one who needs forgiveness. This school condemns. Testament to what God can do....we serve a bigger God!"
"Several years ago, I went to Comenius School for Creative Leadership for two years. My parents believed this would be a good choice for me because I had been homeschooled for a majority of my life and felt as though I needed to go here instead of going to a public school. For two years, I was miserable; all the other students ignored me or bullied me because I did not go to their church nor did I have any musical talents. The teachers were not real teachers at all. (Private Schools can hire people that do not have teaching degrees as teachers.) I had one teacher tell the class that she did not care that everyone was failing because she was not going to become a teacher anyway. I struggled to pass all of the classes. Every day I went to that school I felt sick to my stomach, I cried almost every night because of how bad that school was and how stupid I felt because I could not get the grades that I wanted. Finally, after pleading with my parents they let me go to a public school. I was thrilled to say the least. The first thing I noticed about my new school was how friendly everyone was compared to Comenius School for Creative Leadership. The teachers were more than willing to help me adjust to the school. I had to work hard because of all the education I missed because of CSCL I had to catch up, but I did. At my new school, I made friends and studied hard. I graduated school with honors and moved on to college where I continued to thrive! I would not recommend Comenius School for Creative Leadership to my worst enemy. There are way better schools out there private and public. If you are thinking about sending your child to this school, please reconsider. There are way better choices out there."
