"After receiving less-than-satisfactory care with my previous OB, I transferred care here at 33 weeks. Had my first appointment here today and instead of leaving upset, nervous, and on edge, I left feeling pretty positive about my pregnancy. Very polite staff at the desk & when being brought to my room for vitals. Also felt comfortable & at ease with Theresa. Check in/check out was simple & the overall atmosphere was calm. I should’ve transferred sooner."
"I've gone to this office for several years. Recently, I had my first child. The pre-natal care that I received was top notch. Every doctor and midwife was personable and answered all of my questions. I never had any trouble getting in touch with a nurse via phone whenever I had questions outside of my appointments. The office staff is great too. They really made my husband and I feel heard and confident. Midwife, M. Jaynes, delivered our little girl in November. We've shared our story and blessing with so many people. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. She was phenomenal and really took care of us. This is more than just a doctor's office, they treat you like family. 10/10 recommend."
"The black female Dr cauterized my tubes during surgery against my will in 2017. We both signed signatures on a filshie clip surgery. I woke up with clipped, burned and severed tubes taken out. Clear case of malpractice. I also was told by the dr she didnt have to do it but she felt she was doing me a favor(her exact words).Spoke to a few lawyers they agreed. 6 years later, I am still suffering emotionally and physically behind the negligence of this office and hospital that was used. You have ruined my life."
"I have went here twice love the staff and dr. Byrd is the best she delivered my little girl and people there are friendly and answer all my questions I highly recommend them and wouldn’t want to go anywhere else."
"I feel compelled to write this review because I feel like the safety of moms and babies are being compromised by this doctor’s office! I started going to Hugh Chatham women’s center in 2020 for my first pregnancy and had a wonderful experience. Delivered at the hospital down the street so when I was expecting my 2nd child I felt safe and confident that I could trust this doctors office again. To my surprise the professionalism of this office has significantly gone downhill since 2021.I should of went elsewhere because when I was tested for group b strep at 37 weeks it was negative. I was positive for that during my 1st pregnancy. I felt like something was off because I was having the symptoms of having group b strep for a while and spoke to that and was basically brushed off by Shannon Huff. To make a long story short I basically delivered my baby WITHOUT ANTIBIOTICS AND WAS ACTUALLY POSITIVE FOR GROUP B STREP!!!!!! I had a culture done on an infected ingrown hair done the day before I delivered and it was positive for group b step but they did NOT INFORM ME UNTILL AFTER THE FACT!!!!!!!! Something horrible could of happened and thank god my baby is safe, but what else are they messing up on? I was informed by Jona Lamphier and Teresa Tharpe that they’ve noticed a lot of women’s group b strep tests are coming back negative and realistically 30% of women have it and they thought something was odd and that they are looking into the lab at the hospital. So there is CLEARLY A PROBLEM!!! I would tell all women to stay clear of this place and I feel sick to my stomach knowing that they basically put me and my child in harms way! I will never be back!!! This place needs to be investigated."
