"UNC is the worst medical center in every aspect of medical care. They have the worst radiology department (NC 55 Cary ), The mammogram technicians or whatever you call those humans who have no idea how to take a mammogram without nearly killing you by their torturous method. This person did not even check to see my previous reports that I had a pacemaker (which she conveniently saw after the procedure). She told me that I should have told her before she put me in hell. As i was screaming in pain, while she tried to place me according to her understanding of the anatomy. Also I was worried my pacemaker would get dislodged. I had gotten it done in 2021 with a pacemaker. Yes it was painful at that time too, but not as horrible as I got it done on November 15, 2023. They don’t do their homework and blame it on the patient to remind them of the details. All they have is a couple of questions before the procedure and miss out on the most important ones, like does the patient have any concerns that should be noted. They instead make useless conversation, which is such a waste of time. What a disappointment for first world healthcare facility."
"My experience has been very positive. I have had mammograms annually for 20+ years. Last year I was diagnosed with DCIS … every step of the way I was treated with respect and kindness. I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience in the mammogram department (including a biopsy), then surgery and radiation. I highly recommend."
"Want to get almost killed and you will pay a lot of money for it? Then you came to the right place. I had an ultrasound and mammograph, and during the last procedure I passed out, the doctor who was supposed to observe me didn't even try to catch me and I hit my head very badly. I was taken to the ER department where I REFUSED from sorting, didn't get any services and I was told, I will not be billed, and yet, I got a bill, and even after review, it is still present. Just avoid this place at any cost."
"Mammography reception cant bother to stay at her desk. I waited for 9 mins for her to show up and snottily send me back to registration. Once i got back from that infurating experience. I once again had to wait for the front desk person to show up. Then i was ignored because she wanted to talk on the cell phone in Mammography. I have watched multiple other people have to go through thus as well as i have been waiting. THEN even though I am paying my balance off slowly, with out asking they call me and tell me i have to meet with a financial counselor who tells me i can apply for assistance! I tell them they have already told me i dont qualify when i reached out for help. They once again tell me i can fill out a form that i will be turned down for.....super compassionate of them.... I had to reiterate multiple times that I am slowly paying my bill before the "counselor" actually checks and sees this is true and I'm allowed to leave This is not my first awful experience with them. In 4 years I have yet to have one good experience. Once I was left in a waiting room alone for over a half hour in a hospital gown because no one bothered to note that I was put in the overflow room. This was also after repeatingly asking if my oncologist could just tell me the results himself and being told no. They are the only office here that can't understand perfered names and are consistently calling me the wrong name. They are constantly baffled as to why I'm not excited to see them. If you need a mammogram go anywhere else. Also I don't want to contact customer relations because I know that does nothing. I'm just here to worn people about the absimal care"
"Avoid... They don't follow science with people who are long-term breastfeeders. I had to lie in order to secure yearly mammograms despite being classified as extremely high risk potential for breast cancer based on immediate family history. I'd seek screening elsewhere."
