"They’re OK. Kinda slow but just OK. I wouldn’t go back. Not a real friendly atmosphere!"
"I’ve had the misfortune of having two MRIs in one month and came here for both. Same 2 MRI techs in both and they were just wonderful. Very personable and made a not fun experience as bearable as it could have been. I just really appreciated their care and kindness - you all make such a positive difference. Also, both times they ask you to arrive 30 minutes early and I was taken back within 5 minutes of arrival each time. The front desk staff are also super friendly and helpful. The building isn’t much to look at from the outside but, don’t be fooled, both time were extremely positive experiences. Hope I don’t need to come back but will feel much better about it if I do. THANK YOU!"
"I am very disappointed with Wake Radiology UNC REX. I have been seen twice for imaging appointments and both times the ultrasound tech (or sonographer) treated me as if I was stupid and a waste of her time. Just because I’m under 30 years old and asking questions about the images taken does not mean I should be laughed off. When I asked her why I couldn’t get a mammogram, she said that breast density for women under 30 makes it impossible to read diagnostically. The tech also said that it is too dangerous for women under 30 to get mammograms because of radiation exposure. It is well known that mammograms have not been shown to be linked to any increase in cancer. After hearing this, I wanted to speak with my radiologist to receive clarity of my results and ask further questions. I was instead dismissed and shown the door and was not able to have any contact with the radiologist. I left my appointment in tears of frustration for how this situation was handled and will not be returning to Wake Radiology UNC REX in the future. Preventative breast screening is very important to me as I have maternal history of breast cancer. To have a sonographer/tech directly discussing results without a radiologist present made me uncomfortable. I hope Wake Radiology UNC REX recognizes their unprofessional practices and does not continue to dismiss and belittle their patients, even if they are women under 30 years old."
"Needed a fast Xray for my child. Got the orders from our PCP and were able to walk in the next morning. The wait time was less than 15 minutes and our insurance covered it completely (where it does not when we get xrays through UNC). The staff were friendly and it was super quick and painless."
"Every health care experience should be like a visit to Wake Radiology Chapel Hill. I've probably been here a dozen times. I've never waited more than 5 minutes, and it's usually even quicker. This place runs like clockwork! Every single provider I've met here, and I've met a lot of them, has been friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They are just the best!"
