"MLC is a sweet preschool with a dedicated and hardworking teaching team but unfortunately poor leadership really colored my family’s experience there. You can expect poor, intermittent communication (don’t expect a reply to emails or phone calls), lack of consistent policies related to weather, enrollment or closures, and a culture that feels more like a family (a dysfunctional one at that) than a school. My son’s classroom experience at MLC was positive overall but, as a parent, the poor communication, unpredictable schedule and overall lack of professionalism from the administrative team made for a negative experience. I know there aren’t many choices for childcare in Asheville but, when given the choice, we were so happy to find a more reliable, consistent and drama-free alternative."
"My son has been attending MLC for a couple of months now and he has blossomed! I’m so proud of how much he is absorbing and learning! He’s so much more independent, and talking so well now! The directors are amazing and his teachers are fantastic! The communication is Great!! I’m excited for my middle child to attend next fall!"
"I'm on the fence about posting this review, because dang do these leave you vulnerable! But, here's the deal, the director of this school treated my family so poorly, I wish someone else had given me a heads up so that I could've avoided this all together. I arrived 10 minutes late for a tour that was supposed to last 30 minutes and was told to leave and reschedule while in the parking lot, holding my 1 year old daughter. We weren't greeted, just told that we were late so we needed to leave. I asked if we could chat for a few minutes and forfeit the tour since we still had time left of our window and I was then told that we wouldn't be a good fit. The drama went on, but who even cares. What a bizarre way to run a preschool."
