"The three stars here are purely for the prices, it’s the only reason I felt giving any stars at all. Some of the very small and unsatisfying selection of rare games that are sold here have a completely reasonable price and I don’t feel like any of it was a rip off at all after looking at online sellers. My complaint is that there is almost never anything interesting or worth buying here, which is key for me in a retro game store. Sure there are maybe 5 of the 10 Dreamcast games that stand out but that’s the entire selection. There’s quantity in this store just not a whole lot of quality which was severely disappointing, there isn’t enough room on the back wall to truly show off enough to cater to a buyer like me, so I thought surely there was more in stock in the back that there wasn’t room for (which is entirely valid, and in fact normal for a rotating inventory) but when I asked about this I was met with a very condescending “how am I supposed to sell something that’s not on the shelves” which immediately made me forget about the one pricey item I had considered buying and leave the store. Owner was present because he was having some issue with his employees and felt the need to talk down to them by reminding him that he’s the owner and they weren’t. Could have been a stressful situation, I don’t know. It’s not my job as a customer to deal with an employees stress and a simple “no” would have sufficed. I’ll be back, because like I said this is a solid three stars at the moment which shouldn’t be a reason not to stop by and check out what they have in stock. If you’ve read this review to this point, go check them out. Prices are great just don’t expect there to be a wide variety of quality treasures. Edit: I WAS welcomed when I came in and was asked to let them know if I needed help finding something, which is why it made me mad to be talked down to when I actually inquired."
"So this review is really for the staff. I came in there to sell a video game and see if they had any Super Nintendo games I'd be interested in for a possible trade. They mentioned the SN games come and go quickly, they don't really get those in frequently. However, he gave me 2 prices, trade in and cash only. Ofcourse cash only price is lower. But when I told him what I was looking for and really couldn't by any other game since I only had one system, he was so kind to me and did what he could to ensure I was still a happy customer. And I am! Whether it's to buy or sell or trade, check them out. I feel the price I got for my game was far, especially considering it was for a PS2 (which I didn't even own anymore) so if you have some old or new games just taking up space come by!!! Again, great staff and I saw them entertaining with others and they definitely know their stuff and this is the only one of its kind. Not gonna find this store anywhere else in the triangle."
"Just left with an older game I couldn’t find outside of eBay along with several other games. Prices were great- way lower than I expected. Reggie was fantastic. Knowledgeable and friendly. All of the employees were very helpful. Def coming back!"
"Really enjoyed shopping here, prices are great, everyone was helpful and found what we were looking for. I don’t like other places like this they’re pushy these people aren’t. They have just about every system & old school/retro game or console. It was nostalgic looking at everything. We will be back for sure!"
"Drove over 40 minutes I didn’t expect much but was very surprised I’ve never bought anything retro in-store so I was a little bit nervous and I didn’t really know what to ask when I got there and it ended up being a memory card for my ps2 the staff was extremely nice and very helpful a I looked through the selection of games and the only problem I had was there wasn’t more of a selection (I understand supply is limited though) because the prices were amazing! I did manage to find a couple games that I ended up liking and they were only 5 dollars instead of what I’ve been seeing on eBay, which is where I usually buy my games they were going for 10-20 and they ended up being in great condition! The drive was 100% worth the long drive and if i ever need any parts or games I know where to go!"
