"I purchased 2 cords of firewood at the end of last season to use this year. It would seem that they cleaned out their storage yard and dumped about 4 cords of poor quality wood on my property. Even though I specified the length I needed for my stove, many of the pieces are way too long and will not fit in my stove. In addition, probably half of the load was poplar, which is considered to be hardwood but is actually very poor firewood. So disappointed and will not purchase again. Have to load out the 'too long' pieces and take them to the dump!"

"ECF Kiln dried wood is less than 10% moisture content compared to 15-20% for seasoned wood I find from other places. This means a faster, hotter fire in your fireplace. You pay more for the luxury - 25 cents a pound vs. $25 for a pickup truck full from Coates. If it's been raining for days, like this winter, then it's worth the price, as Coates firewood is wet and their back lot a sea of mud in the rain. Yet ECL is dry wood and clean pick up lot. This isn't a knock against Coates, just a different experience. ECF was well worth it when I needed dry firewood in bulk now."
