"(Update: When I went in last night, the clerk in question was working. First, he sort of apologized, kinda, while downplaying how many times it actually happened. Then, he told me that his boss told him to tell me to take this review down. I repeat: The guy the review is about told me that his boss told him to tell me to take down my review about him. And then on my way out, he proceeded to do the exact thing the original review was about. While I am pleased they at least made him put a clean shirt on this time, I don't think I need to point out how unprofessional it is for a business owner to instruct an employee to confront a customer about their online review and tell them to remove it. Consider that my last time setting foot in your store, and the original review stays, with a properly adjusted rating. You also might want to tell him not to lock the doors after putting up a BACK IN FIVE MINUTES sign to disappear into the bathroom for a half an hour while customers impatiently pile up outside. Just do the job, take the money, and leave people the hell alone.) Decent little corner bodega, but someone REALLY needs to have a talk with the night dude about making snide little comments and jokes at his customers. I joke with customers, too, but I feel them out first, and I don't aim jokes specifically at them. This guy has gotten to where I don't want to go there at night anymore. Literally every other employee there has amazing customer service skills, but this guy REALLY needs to reign it in. The next time I walk up there, and he's working, I'm just going to leave. I don't need soda and vape juice bad enough to deal with this guy."
